That poor woman. It really is true when they say some men never grow up. If it hadn't been for his immaturity and money, he'd never been able to pull this off. The common thread of most of these dramas like this is spoiled rotten men who don't care about anyone but themselves. SAD

I loved the twist. I wasn’t expecting that at all. Normally “list of rules” stories are ones I skip cuz you know what’s gonna happen based on the rules, but glad I listened to this one. I only listened because I love cats lol. I also have cats who need separate food due to health issues. Great story.

I did some cat-sitting for an aunt and uncle a few years ago. My story wasn't nearly as complicated or interesting as this one. I just had to get used to random pieces of furniture hissing at me as I walked past them, as the cat was stressed that my aunt and uncle were gone. I just fed the cat as instructed and kept an eye on the house. Once they got back from their trip, the cat was suddenly super friendly to me.

Nah if my friend hired me to cat sit with all this crap and never warned me I would be leaving and I would not be friends with them after that 😂
House and pet sitting can be very relaxing. Nobody tells you to stop doing what ever you are doing, and you have the TV to your self!
Um, normal people don’t have anyone telling them what to do at home. And normal people can watch their own TV whenever they want…at home.
@DaveTexas that's not "normal people," that's just single people with no roommates. Even married people with a TV in everyone sometimes tell/ask each other to do things or "suggest" a movie or show they can watch together. 😂

I've always been a dog person, i have a corgi cross, all was tickerty boo, then i adopted a second dog, her owner was going into long term care, liver failure, so he was going to give dog to RSPCA, they only keep them so long though so i said i would have her, 18 months old American bull dog mother and father a Staffordshire bull terrier cross with a mastiff, there is no horror story that compares with the chaos caused by my 13 year old corgi X revitalized by the giant puppy lol.

I know it's a story. BUT this is a sore spot for me.
If it says to give the animal 10 pieces of kibble, you count out 10 pieces of kibble.
If the pet parent says to brush the snake with a soft tooth brush 100strokes, from head to tail for 2 hrs. U do that. Set a timer.
The Owner failed miserably by not communicating the requirements to the sitter.
Anyways anyways, it's just a story I know I know 😂🎉
This is the best 'rules' story I've heard. There was a logical explanation and then a complete unexpected turn at the end. Very believable. :)
I have two cats and one is literally Evil. Her name is Evi Lillith so her first name and middle initial spells Evi L. " Evil " she is solid black and possessed by a demon. I'm dead serious, that animal is Evil and I adore that beast.
If you own a cat then you know there's nothing out of the order here. And if you own several cats....
If anyone done that crap to me and it flipped me out so bad that a innocent person lost their life the biggest mistake they could do would be getting close to me ever again. I can be a vengeful person, and I would go above and beyond to get my hands on them so I could show them exactly how I felt about it. If someone does something too me where I'm never going to be the same there never going to be the same as well.
