@El Duderino with a fireman pole that does nothing but flush the toilet if you lift it up? oh I guess support for squatting down if you want to pretend your a stripper.. or have um.. Back issues?
You're like the only UA-camr that's bigger that hasn't done a give away :) or tried to ever make a bunch of extra money or anything. You deserve more recognition for how great of a person and how brilliant you are.
Jimmy you should install an attic ladder inside the office so when you need to eat just pull down the door and a ladder slides out something to think about office is looking awesome👍😊
Good job guys. Spend the money now to get things done right the first time. It will save money and time in the long run, not having to repair or replace the " it's good enough" type of work.
I’m a union carpenter and you should honestly go get a bag of r11 insulation maybe 2 bags and insulate it! Your office will always be warm and hold in heat and what not ! Just saying if you’re doing it right the first time I’d insulate it
Look into Greg Smith Equipment. I purchased a Atlas extra tall extra wide lift from them. PIcked it up with a trailer from their warehouse in jersey. they loaded it with a fork lift, just had to back the trailer into my shop when i got home, unpacked it on the trailer, had a few friends help tipping/lifting the columns off the trailer and into place. It was less then half the price of a comparable bendpak and the quality is great. as long as your concrete floor is good. buy or rent a hammer drill and install with the supplied anchors, you need a 220v 30A circuit either dedicated and hard wired to the lift or a outlet in like i have that i share with my welder that you can wire up to its a pretty straight forward follow the directions, loop the cables, bleed the system.
Brace up the area above the bathrooms and run some stairs along the wall so they're out of the way and easy to just walk up to. Would push the cars little further off the wall but would make a cleaner look.
Don’t know what you plan to do for drywall but I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you have someone do all the mudding and taping after you get the drywall up. I drywalled my room and then mudded it and then we had someone else do another room and it is in insane night and day difference between someone that knows mudding and someone that can do it sort of. Keep grind man and when can we give you money for merch!
From the looks of it I would put stairs down the side of the bathroom against the wall beside the red z so it won’t really be in the way and you can store some stuff under!
Save time and money and buy the same lights that Taylor Ray used in his garage or at least the smaller ones will give you way more light for less and very easy to install can’t wait to see the end result keep pushing jimmy
thinking if you extend the loft further downover the bathroom and out as overhead space and build a tool bench/tool hanging wall like the last shop thatd be sweet
You should update us on what is going on between you and hoonigan! Everyone was so happy when you were on there, but we were also left in the wind. Is there going to be future jimmy x hoonigan vids to come?
I bought a 10,000 lbs rated danmar lift from Home Depot. $2300 and shipped to me. If you have a Home Depot account you could get it and just pay a little every month for it and pay it off over time if you don’t want to dump a bunch of money at once.
@@WonkaFab so let's just have cars wherever cause having a spot in that big ass shop for cars that are not being worked on out the way just dont make since.
" for some reason on this wall they doubled up." - because its a header to provide extra strength, should also have them on the door and window, especially if you are putting a lot of weight up there.
Jimmy, I found you on UA-cam looking for loft ideas, and ended up following you ever since. Favorite UA-camr by far. You are a jack of all trades, mad respekt m8. Also great job framing around the Lolly column, nice and plum 🤘
Not sure on what the bathroom ceiling looks like strength wise, but if you could put stairs on the side of the bathroom, walk over top of the bathroom to the loft that would be perfect
Jimmy on the nail gun was the best. Had a blast building this with you guys. Great job 👍👍💪💪📐🔨
Jason Christopher you’re the man Jason 🙏🙏
Subbed to your channel,Jason. Good work.
Don't need any joist hangers or anything?
Smart man having him nail the sheets 😉 I saw what you did there lol
it was nice seeing him genuinely interested in helping and not just sitting back and being lazy
"Will need a office for things that are happening soon." Do I smell merch finally coming?
Or a dyno/customer cars?
Peter Oosterom that’s more likely
Leo driscoll he had some..... three years ago😂
Office wouldn't have a Dyno. Office makes more sense for merch room
Too Klingy the office is where the customers can chill when jimmy is tuning their cars on the dyno or where they get paperwork done.
"This must be a state job." - Jimmy 😂😂
Should throw some insulation between the walls before dry walling it. You’ll appreciate a nice warm office during the winter!
It'll also help a ton with audio acoustics
Anyone remember when jimmy used to say “so” like all the time ?
yupp, now its "you know" hahahahahaa
So
@@edgardochavez1275 ... You Know
Or FINALLY
I don’t know why but ever since it’s shown up in the background I’ve been impatiently waiting for this video!
crazy how much this boy has leveled up
I really love that you do things right the first time... instead of doing it wrong 3x like some other people.... Lookin' good Jimmy!
*cough* Strapnick *cough*
Have a staircase going to the top of the bathroom, might need to redo some plumbing first.
Michael Boots why not make the staircase to the left side of the bathroom and have the top of the bathroom as storage with the loft , easy enough
@@Tony_Tylinski yeah that's what I'm talking about
@El Duderino with a fireman pole that does nothing but flush the toilet if you lift it up? oh I guess support for squatting down if you want to pretend your a stripper.. or have um.. Back issues?
You should put a fireman Pole down to the bathroom
Love the noon uploads. Perfect for lunch while at work or school.
I only take lunch if theres a jimmy oakes video...otherwise no point haha

If need a electrician I got you I am right in Durham ct
Jimmy Oaks wins the award for Most Beautiful Mom On UA-cam no doubt
I love garage build videos always amazing to see a blank space become your shop and a loft is a must in a Jimmy O garage

Should beef up the toilet cieling and have stairs up the side of that.
OH and Get those Tokyo Drift style sleeping pods for the platform!
Love the Momma Oakes cameo, always there for her amazing kids 💜
insulate the office walls and ceiling before the drywall...it will hold heat a little better...
definately
Winter Project: Build a winch with rails so you can move around big shizzle with eaze
Jason “Top Gun” Christopher...!
Dude was on fire 🔥
I think it's cool that you're doing this first I don't clean up a shop and you also need a office to get are the things done.
Jimmy is doin it right. He’s setting up his future with this UA-cam shit haha. Smart guy
You can use plywood instead of drywall in the office. It's much faster and easier to install and I've done it in my shop.
Office for all the dyno receipts jimmy is about to be writing up
Don't forget to leave a dog dorr for tucker

I fuck with jimmy over pretty much every other youtuber... proof that good shit happens to good people
i can probably watch jimmy do gardening and it'd still be interesting
Only if were as talented as jimmy. Keep the hard work up!
Do a spiral staircase, takes up less space but won't be good for bringing large shelving units up or down.
Brace up the area above the bathrooms and run some stairs along the wall so they're out of the way and easy to just walk up to. Would push the cars little further off the wall but would make a cleaner look.

Office project is looking good! With the cold weather quickly approaching I wonder how that building is heated.
You can use that channel for your wiring now for your Electrical
jimmy is one of the only people i believe when they say i can do this myself next time... plus what is going to happen in the office space?
Love seeing that Corrado in the background!
Make a ramp with handrails all the way to the opposite wall and put stairs there.
Well done!!
Yo jimmy. You got the right idea but you should use some joust hanger brackets on the 2x12s to ensure it cannot wiggle around
So satisfying
framers are the tough guys of carpentry
You should pull the office wall out another foot or whatever it is so the entrance door and office door are on the same plane
Looks good boys plenty of stable room for activities
Save time and money and buy the same lights that Taylor Ray used in his garage or at least the smaller ones will give you way more light for less and very easy to install can’t wait to see the end result keep pushing jimmy
Nice work ...I would build it out over the bathroom door and put stairs on the side of bathroom
You should add wood above restrooms and make stairs on side of restroom and walk up from there
Awesome I'm gonna put a new loft in at the sign shop Great Video
should be a nice little hangout area! i would have put another room up there with a nice bed for naps haha
Happy birthday B-hall enjoy your day
You are 100% the us josh james 🤣 boq just put out a new loft at his unit over here
good job Jim the builder 👍
Live stream camera on top of the loft looking at the shop
Get 3 of those nice part racks like tommy has it will help organize and get to parts when you need them
You should put insulation in the walls to help with sound proofing the office. It’s cheap and will make a huge difference.
Put stairs on the inside. That way you can lock it and keep people from going up.
Welcome back RJ.

incorporate a hole in the wall for a portable AC unit, so you're not dying in the summer.
Continue the loft over the jax and get a couple of the fast n furious sleep pods for when you'r builds run into the night.......💭
Crazy I actually subscribed after watching the last loft build video 1sr one of your videos I watched pretty much seen everyone since.
Put the stairs on the other side of the toilet and create a walk way over the top of the toilet.
Its coming along great jimmy one step closer to being complete! As RJ said keep progressing💪💪
So I guess Jimmy is opening his own performance shop
Hell yeah boy got your shop looking good now
put a winch on the ceiling or the top of the loft and make a lowering and raising staircase
Looks great man!
Always doing it right the first time!🛠👍
I'm surprised you didn't connect the restroom to it, but definitely a dope loft
That tail light on the mrk 2 tho..... looks soo good
ayeeee im a carpenter glad you're showing respect for the craft and helped out
Make one of them folding stairs

Dude , paint it before u start putting stuff up there, it'll protect it and make it last longer
you can later extend this and store cars under it and parts or party area over it
Why store cars under it?
@@WonkaFab why not?
@@alfonz0010 because well... They're already inside a building

Sense
Add more cross braces help support an creeking . Kinda cheaper out there
he's making a go fast shop
Happy birthday b hall
Joist hangers my guy. You need them in your life lol.
" for some reason on this wall they doubled up." - because its a header to provide extra strength, should also have them on the door and window, especially if you are putting a lot of weight up there.
Nicely done! But why drywall? Just plywood it so u can hang stuff.
Never got the drywall in garage...
Extend the loft over the bathrooms and build stairs beside the bathroom
Like the new soundtrack 👍
The shop is geting there 👌🏻😊
Put the stairs on the side of the bathroom and make a deck going across to it
It would be badass if u could make a full walk around loft overtime
Happy Birthday Brian!!!
Good work guys, looks awesome

Does RJ have a crash bandacoot tattoo? Thats sick
yeah man , a good pc and a dope sim setup would be sickk

no matter what you upload i can always watch, car related or not. You can literally film yourself go grocery shopping and make it nice to watch
Well done and good job 10/10
This man is a natural on camera

Used to line up cans and do that while shingling hahaha tons of fun
Hay Jimmy put the stairs inside the room and all you have to do is cut a hole in the ceiling and attach the stairs on the back wall
