Holmfirth looks nice especially in the sun. For someone like me who looks at travel channels with an idea on finding somewhere to retire they are very useful. I am still with north yorkshire at the moment due to proximity to the coast but holmfirth does look nice and property is good value there
Totally agree! It's a stunning little place isn't it! Properties here are very reasonably priced and it's so peaceful. You could probably get a nice characterful cottage for half the price of elsewhere - but the coast is lovely! Filey, Scarborough, Saltburn, and Whitby coastlines are some of the best in the country I think!
Hi, The TravelCrush !! Lovely countryside for a walk with the water, fields and woods. What a beautiful place, so lively with great independence shops, brewery, caffs, burger joint, vineyard and accommodation at the ‘Nook’ !! Greetings from Scotland, Cheers, Don 👋
Greetings Don! You’re not wrong - there’s so much on offer here! We absolutely loved it completely! Yorkshire has so much to offer!! Thanks for watching as always.
Hey Kate!! Thank you so much - I corrected myself in the very final scene because I realised whilst editing that I'd been saying it wrong the whole video (EEK!) ahhh well, at least I know for next time!! x
Yep , I was going to mention that too . Pity Fair Trader was shut - it’s fab & run as a cooperative. Also Read bookshop def worth a trip as well as the newly open Lick ice cream parlour x
Yay your back! What a Fab video. You two really are putting some awesome content on here for us to see. Going to have to watch it a few times to take it all in. " Ice cream van !" :)
Yayyyy!! Good to see you on here! Yes took a little break but than you so much for watching! Oh it really is such a beautiful place Stephen - you'll have to visit if you ever decide to holiday in England one summer rather than the lovely French countryside. Ice Cream van yeeees! Don't know if you have those in your neck of the woods - seems very British! x
Yayyyyy!! It really is! And it's actually the cutest most picturesque little place!! Thanks for watching Connie! I was out in Lymm, Cheshire yesterday and thought of you - you're out that way aren't you? xxxx
Would like seeing less of you and more of what you’re visiting. I’ve been there and there is so much more interesting things you could have promoted. Oh well…..
You’re absolutely right! Had we a little more time I would have loved to show more but we were only there for a quick stop. I’ll take your feedback on board though for sure! Would love to know what else you’d recommend for next time we visit? x
Why would anyone in britain have a holiday at home? For half what you pay at home you could be enjoying near enough guaranteed sunshine in italy or spain. I would never holiday at home.
Thinking of booking a weekend here for my boyfriend’s birthday.. been before and it was so cute
@@lh7369 you’ll have an amazing time ❤️

Nice video! By the way, our village is called Holmfirth (pronounced Home-Firth) not Holmesfurth!!

Go to Ramsbottom near Bury. Wonderful town with a brilliant market and the East Lancashire Railway.
How did I miss this comment! I’ve never thought of visiting Bury but maybe I will visit! Thank you for the recommendation!
@@BellaDiary No worries 😁

@@BellaDiary You know Lymm is actually on my list. I’m not a million miles away I’m in Wilmslow. Hope you’re keeping well? x

Holmfirth pronounced ‘home-firth’ not ‘homes-firth’. Good video despite mispronunciation.

Depends what sort of holiday you’re looking for, tbh
Good weather.nice beach.good food and half the price of british resorts
@@terryscott4746I got all that in the UK last time I went camping. I also like exploring, as well as sitting on beaches.
