I play this often while working in my office at the school I work for. A student of mine walked by today, and asked me if I was prepared to go all the way. No joke. I'm so proud.
I always liked how if you started up the game and watched the intro, that crescendo at the end would lead right up to the crash of the cymbals at the start of the actual theme. Like hearing this song again really did make me instinctively expect to hear that brief pause, followed by that explosive crash and then go right into the Starcraft theme like it did in the original game. It fits really well.
+JohnnyTheWolf I personally liked the UED quite a lot. I hope they bring them back at some point (Probably 1X years in the future when SC3 comes out). I also hope they ignore all the modern 'tolerance' stuff and keep the UED what it's meant to be, a Eurocentric fascist empire. Brood War also leads up to StarCraft II very well. Especially the Duran story and the Zeratul secret mission. I do wish they remade the original and brood war campaign in the style of SC2, while keeping you an anonymous commander. Just imagine reliving the UED invasion, this time customizing your forces and looking around the Alexander.
@JohnnyTheWolf I kinda agree that Brood War was a bit of a sidetrack. The UED suddenly becoming a thing feels like it should've been saved for the sequel when everything else has been tied up. It did set up Kerrigan as becoming essentially the omniscient overlord of the Koprulu Sector, though.

I was too young to understand the concept of death when I first heard this but StarCraft was always my favorite thing lol. It's weird considering I was familiar with the Confederacy being the "evil" side before learning about the American "Civil" War. It's weird we call it that, considering how things played out after the "union" won and America was "reunified". They still claim "we" defeated racism but did we really tho? *tears* IMO Brood War was the best blizzard game in term of story, characters, music and ambience.
