I think the valley at 30:30 is were a mountain lion stalked me until realizing I wasn't a deer.

teutonalex that’s grouse Meadow. It’s one of my favorite spots to camp on trail. I’ve been there the last 3 years. That sounds like a scary bit of hiking for you!

@@khevinbeatsworkinwatterson1848 yes I remember now, grouse meadow. I was a a couple of hundred feet in those woods when I heard him behind me while applying some chap stick. He slunk off and I only got to see his tail and rump but it took me 2000 miles of hiking to finally see one.

I started at HI on 7-19-17, so it's fun to see the trail with a little less snow, which gave me considerable trouble.

Really one of the best presentations of the JMT I've seen. Great music and wonderful spirit. Can you share your music tracks? I have a Sept start date and I'm doing everything I can to build up to it and get ready. Thanks for sharing a such a wonderful experience!

the addition of the camelback bite valve to the smart water bottle is brilliant. did you custom make the cap or was that a redi-made??

Thanks! The cap was made by Blue desert. It's called "Smartube". I added a 90 degree camelbak valve with the bite valve. Completly hands free

I didn't know you made a video of your trip, Khevin. Loved seeing the trail from Le Conte Canyon to Whitney. Makes me anxious to get back out there next summer to complete my journey. JMT!
