Thank you for a great documentary. I wish it was longer and had more reindeer in it! Seriously, before the modern world destroys these traditional ways of life, we must document to not forget and preserve them as long we can.
I am an old Nuenonne man of Lunawanna Allonha and Lutruwita. My respect to to the Rain deer people, may the spirit's of your ancestors always be with you and guide and protect you and your heritage and culture. Our culture, lands and languages were stolen and our people almost exterminated, never trust the words of those who say they want to help you. Thank you to those that uploaded this video, to show us our brother's and sisters far away.
This is real clean, simple, natural human life. This people may not look neat but they don't contribute to pollution that resulted to natures'destruction and climate change! Good job SLICE!😊😊😊
Always love to see how these simple folks live with so little yet so happy ... Very motivational for me ... I am excited in March 2025, I'll be going on a tour to visit the NENETS the Reindeer People (Russia side) ... So looking forward to sleep in a Choom and see first hand their daily livelihood

96 years old and still riding and running the reindeer! Absolutely wonderful to watch such an amazing legend such as her. Such wisdom and insight she carrys. I wouldn't survive 10 minutes in this environment even with the tools we have nowadays, where these folks thrive and survive from such an unforgiving land, and with no tools of today. Truly masters with their surroundings. May the way of life for these nomadic people continue with their traditional way of life. May they be prosperous and with good fortune
Ya!.. She is amazingly physically and mentally able. Almost a full set of teeth! Sometimes I wonder if people are exaggerating age, but I wonder if she's even older than 96! I'm guessing her main diet has been reindeer meat and milk products? She was chewing on what looked like little seeds or nuts. Hope she's doing well 🙏
Her laugh is so infectious and sweet. I have a feeling she will have got to her ancestors following the reindeer Hurd in the sky though. I’m no doctor but it looked as though she may have been suffering from a skin cancer on her cheek. I’ve seen it before and that’s exactly how it looked.
Truly Amazing. How incredibly beautiful. From my Indigenous First Nations to yours, May our Creator keep you abundant, and may your culture continue on. Misey Cho.
Can I ask you which nation you belong to,here in Ireland we have great respect and gratitude for the nation’s particularly the Choctaw nation who came to our aid in 1847 a few years ago a beautiful sculpture was erected just outside Waterford city in memory of their kindness.
Love the kids. It doesn’t matter where you are in the world nothing changes. "it was an accident!" ☺ and adults telling them to stop messing around. Since I moved to America I feel I have become a stranger to the comforting thought of my own ancestors watching over me although I pray to them all the time. It's nice to see other people's still so in touch with theirs.
9:18 this song is everything ❤ the lyrics and melody are so soothing and perfectly capture the Tsaataan way of life, also the way grandma is reciting it makes me smile and bop my head 😊
They are so beautiful! 13:11 They do the same kind of singing that Tibetan monks do! 46:50 Tsuyang is dressed similarly to Tibet's Nechung oracle, and the unconscious trance process seems similar.
Listening to this gent sing I thought , only if he sang into Dickery Doo, I think it would sound no to badly at all. 98 YEARS OLD the very best to you Granny and many more to come. Grand Mothers across the world are the very best and love their stories.
Thanks for sharing beautiful video. Those people are exactly 💯 doing same like Tibetan people. Eating, prayer and the way of doing all are same. Beautiful 👌
As with all indigenous hunters who live in harmony with their sacred land they always give thanks to the life they have taken so that they may live, this is so touching and beautiful a respect for all living things that has been lost, long may this culture and and others like it live forever
Such harmony.. to shoot a moose only to wound it..allow it to spend a day and night in agony, then allow dogs to chew holes in it... I lost all respect for these subhuman filth
As an ethnically Tuvan I can say that translation to English is completely wrong! Как тувинец говорю, что перевод на английский они берут с неба и пишут, что в голову взбредёт! Это огромный минус, наняли бы хорошего специалиста по тувинскому языку😢
The world is such a fascinating ,diverse place ! I only wish we could all admire and know eachother for these qualities and maybe then we wouldn't have to have wars !!!!
Really amazing people very astounding how much. this people are connected with nature and they are always Content with very little thanks soo much very inspiring. Heidi from Canada
These people are tough as nails! It's remarkable how well they are able to adapt to this harsh environment, but they have been living this way for centuries.
Finally! Saw this years ago, didn't know the name, searched for it from time-to-time with no luck. It's the moose hunting scene at 37 minutes in that enthralled me. Miigwech for the upload, Slice.
My respect. I wish all aboriginal peoples could visit and share each other's culture and heritage to be united in the ways of true living under mutual respect.
Thanks for the video sir about Rendier people's lives are too hard we don't imagine those people problems good explanation good expose good picturising thanks so much
I wouldn't think Tsuyan is 96 yrs old. She has so much spark. I can only hope I'm as strong when I am in those years... (If I make it). EDIT: These people are amazing.
the Russians provided reindeer for our people, my great grandfather William Mangilaluk our chief at the time wanted reindeer for sustenance and a new way to live and survive, had to be in the early 1900 hundreds the federal government wanted a treaty with our people but they rejected the settlement, at the time a muskrat pelt was 8 or 9 dollars, it has been told that Mangilaluk said why should we sell the land for less than a muskrat pelt, but he had asked for reindeer in return they Inuvialuit allow the Canadian to explore our land for resources. and build schools and a hospital up here, we owe the Russians our gratitude, this documentary is wonderful, so rich with history and shamanism, we had our own shamans but it was outlawed by the churches and has since been underground practiced only
Tuva became part of the Soviet Union in 1944, not 1921. Though it was basically bossed by the soviets from 1921. Also, what's this about a tribe of horsemen 8000 years ago? They domesticated horses a couple of millennia before anybody else did, but then thought "Nah, bollocks to horses, let's forget them and ride reindeer instead"? Seems a little unlikely. Excellent documentary apart from those minor points though, thank you very much for it :)
