Looks like the variable 34. Database Item ID was missing from the template. After I populated it worked. The other tings I changed were setting "research status" to initialized in the second notion step otherwise it would reprocess the whole list each time. The last thing I changed was setting the "research status" to "done" in the last notion step otherwise it was stuck on initialize and would reprocess with each run.
It would be great to have this but researching specific functions or areas within a company. This would work quite well for sales prospecting. I am in the aviation fuel sales industry and at times I find myself trying to find details about company's fuel purchasing departments and flight departments as well as people who work at these companies
I love this idea. It’s working as intended. I tried putting in another type of link but it defaults to a generic LinkedIn profile page. A follow up video on how to tweak this idea for other types of research would be neat.
We will be running a workshop on customizing this for our members in our paid community. You can tweak the ChatGPT prompt and even add different forms of data before it starts. So many options there.
Great tutorial. Many thanks. Two quick questions: 1. why does it sometimes works, but sometimes the Research Status" turns to "NO ACCESS" and process stops ? 2. Is it normal that even for 'well known' people, it doesn't provide more that a rephrasing of what's available in LinkedIn ? In other words, it does not add anything from the perplexity steps
1. Sometimes it hallucinates and finds information about a completely different person than requested. However, we've done our best to safeguard against this, so it occurs much less frequently. I would say 9/10 times it works great. 2. Occasionally, for reasons unknown to me, Perplexity can’t retrieve information about a person. But rerunning the automation should fix it.
I found that if you go to the integration you created in notion and you edit it to select: User capabilities = "No user information" then it works. Probably because if you are to request user information you would need to be logged in to LinkedIn
@aiadvantage Please provide me with the prompts for Perplexity & Can I Use Gemini in the prompt instead of ChatGPT. I am not trying automate anything. I am going to be a research assistant very soon. Thats why i am asking you for the prompts. You really saved the day, mate.
Yeah I found people don’t care too much about the personal story as I built this channel off of useful information. But I taught over a dozen softwares and then also python. Just love learning and had a life where my computer was always a big part of it.
Can someone please guide i want to add multiple links and the flow should go through both links and then give the final result, any help is much appreciated
What a wonderful country :) Just spent 2 days in Jeri, now furter west for the best wind! Not planning to come to Rio (for now) but seems like a lot of AI interested people are there judging of all the comments I see :) One day
Thanks Igor. This is fascinating and very useful!! Do you have any ideas about how to identify candidates for a job using similar techniques or speeding up the use of LinkedIn Recruiter, given their resistance to allow 3rd party tools to research their data?
If the DB notion template sometimes appears with 'NO ACCESS' - is this due to linkedin profile or some sort of issue we need to reconfigure? ty in advance
I found that if you go to the integration you created in notion and you edit it to select: User capabilities = "No user information" then it works. Probably because if you are to request user information you would need to be logged in to LinkedIn
I believe it would be a significant reduction in quality to do it that way plus I personally don't consume any AI clone channels so I don't do it myself. If that changes my opinion might too :)
Big difference between Make and Stack. Make offers way more connections, is 10x cheaper and has way more blueprints. Stack is focused on building AI pipelines and offers RAG.
I like your content. And audio and video is always top-notch. But what i can't wrap my head around is the 1980s mic. Have seen other young people doing this. Feels like 1980s/90s infomercial vibes. Like it cheapens things. Might just be 40 somethings who feel this way. Thanks for the great video.
Wow that's a first haha but thanks for sharing. I personally just really love the sound of it! Have other models including high quality shotgun and lav mics but nothing comes close to this one for me that's why I travel with it too. Not like carrying a 700 $ mike that weights more than my laptop is my preference but to be honest I had some connectivity troubles here so I might consider the next usb shure for travels in the future.
Bro btw we can't activate notification on your channel, error message : "This action is turned off for content made for kids" I think you need to disable this kids option on your videos/channel
What is the point if you have to look up their LinkedIn profile to then place the URL?!? I could have just gone to LinkedIn and read the profile 20 times over in the time it takes to set up something that just spits back out their profile……
If you do one person it probably doesn't make sense. If you use this twice a month it's a good idea. If you do sales and use it daily it's a complete game changer.
Not if you have to manually go find the URL link so you can then enter it. Also, unless you are logged into LinkedIn with your account you cannot access all of a persons bio. So many issues with this and way too time consuming.
The problem I see with this is that it could become confused with people by the same name. For example, 3 other people in my family have the same exact name. 🤦♂️
Not sure if this is sarcasm but we see it as an opportunity to go above and beyond if we do a video with a sponsor. Honestly speaking though we were using make before they even approached us so this was an easy decision.
@@aiadvantage Yeah, i believe it was indeed an "easy decision" but there is an increasing problem in society with people that confuses information with propaganda and advertorials don't help.
Not a good idea to give tips to people on how to research an individual dude. That’s absurd that you do that. It can impact people’s privacy…, there’s already enough tracking and subversion of individual privacy.
Years ago (before gen AI) I used to work as a junior level investigator. 9 times out of 10, Linkedin and other socials would provide me with a wealth of leads to track people down. The obvious lesson here is that people spill their guts WAY too much online, and it can truly bit them on the ass. We don't have to avoid social media entirely, but always think before sharing anything, and turn off as much as possible in the privacy settings.
He used LinkedIn and Perplexity, so I mean if you already have given all your info that anyone with a LinkedIn account can access anyway, then all that you're doing here is using Perplexity which is also already available. So people who care about privacy already would need to put less of themselves online even without these tools. But this is helpful for marketers and I've seen another UA-camr use it to really do a lot more with such tools, and this is still very basic.
I copied the UUID from the link in the DB Researcher and applied that...I appear to fully run the scenario. However, it does not update the DB Researcher Notion page it completed or add info from the results.
Hey, thanks for the tutorial - the last Notion node asks for a database item ID that I cannot seem to find you're mentioning in the video? Thanks...

Hey, is anyone else getting the "No Access" issue and then the workflow stops? Has there been a solution to this?
I love this idea. It’s working as intended. I tried putting in another type of link but it defaults to a generic LinkedIn profile page. A follow up video on how to tweak this idea for other types of research would be neat.

The second to last notion node (first in the last row) does not have Database search window, is it corrupted?
Have you shared the prompt used in this workflow in previous newsletters or elsewhere?

I wish I could research Guacmadocious, but the general public often ignores such a brilliant name... great video as always Igor.
You just made me crave guacamole.
That's what he does :) Thanks @tobyisgod6639
Anytime @aiadvantage!
@PowerPlusNature Guacamole is pretty Guacmadocious...

Do you have a technical background? I love your videos, but I would also love to see a video of how you came to be where you are.
That'd be outside the scope of this channel. Fortunately he released a video today teaching you how to research people.

Hi Mate, Getting "No Access" as the research status in notion when I run it. what am i'm missing
Status is setting to No Access when I hit run , Where am I missing?
run again. linked in prevents scraping sometimes especially if you use the automation a lot of times in a row
I've been trying to utilize this and the scenario won't go past the first node. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong?
The link isn't right or not included in description, looking forward to trying this out if you can post link to download .json file
The dropbox link contains the json file. Let me know if it worked.
You didn't give the right Notion link
bump, pls update the link - very keen to try this out !
Fixed! Description now also includes the Notion database that you can duplicate
@@aiadvantage Having trouble finding the DB template link. The second link is the link to go to notion
@@j-day6166 Yes that's the one you can duplicate to your account!
@@j-day6166that’s the correct one. just copy the page to your notion account as I showed (by duplicating it)
Have to get a paid Notion version?
Hey, man, that's very very helpful! Cheers from Brazil btw - until when will you be in Jeri? And any plans to come down to Rio?

Hey Igor, why aren't you using heygen+eleven labs cloning for your videos like other ai youtubers ?

Well I do my best. Audio quality is a non-negotiable for me. Think video background doesn't matter as much.
can it search FB profile info, comments and posts as well somehow?

Curious how this can change now that SearchGPT is availabe
Nothing changes as Search GPT can't see LinkedIn profiles at all!
I am lucky. When I start my job they set a 4 after my name, because they have already 3 of my kind in past in the company. 😅
We need a way to use AI to scrape LinkedIn to find out people to connect with.

Respectfully as a daily user of this automation I have to disagree.
1. Finding a LinkedIn profile takes
amazing
What are you actually searching? For example are you just searching their name?
The problem I see with this is that it could become confused with people by the same name. For example, 3 other people in my family have the same exact name. 🤦♂️
Yeah that’s why we built it based on a linked in profile rather than just the name
Igor come to Cape Town, we have the best kite surfing conditions in the world and for you it would be so cheap 20 Euros to 1 Zar! I’ll host you! 🎉
I actually plan to in January! Nothing fixed yet though.
This should be built into NOTION if they want us to pay for it.
Make trial is free, Notion is free, chatgpt and perplexity credits cost a few cents per research.
perfect tool for stalkers
Or for busy people. I see your point but I don't see an ethical problem with this as it is all publicly available data.

No, uses public information
Until we make mass laws of digital privacy it won't matter
