These "best of lists" are so dumb. There is no way Chuck Berry is number 2 on any guitar list. So many great guitarists through the years. It's hard to pick who's the best, since they all were great for their own reasons
Van Halen was the most iconic , he changed the sound and the style of the 70's into 80's guitar playing
Richie blackmore was the best in my opinion. Jan akkerman was also very good and underrated.
You're completely wrong, buddy. It's Jimi hendrix and Jimmy Page. 1 and 2
My top 5 is:
1. Stevie Ray Vaughan
2.Jimmy Page
3. Eddie Van Halen
4. Hendrix
5. Beck
Nothing compared to Alip Bata

1. Jimi Hendrix🐐
2. Eric Clapton
3. Jimmy Page
4. Eddie Van Halen
5. David Gilmour
Very good list but I would add Rory Gallagher
Hendrix ❤❤❤❤
In a 1980 Rolling Stone interview, Eric Clapton was asked, "Who's the best guitarist out there?" His answer, Mark Knopfler.
it was prince but ok

Bi Bi King, Kako Vashalomidze
And Brian May…I do like the fact the Santana is getting some love. His protégé, Neal Schon has to be on the list somewhere, too.
Ritchie Blackmore 🎸 John Petrucci 🎸
Terry Kath
This is a great answer…Hendrix even said that Kath was the best he had ever heard.
Malmsteen? Allan holdswosth?
Michael Schenker should get a mention, he inspired a generation of new guitarists 🎸

Alvin Lee!

I have 5 different
SRV
Gary Moore
Roy Clark
Duane Allman
David Gilmou
I agree on the order for all. It's great to see that Chuck Berry was who started all the guitar greats
When Jeff Beck was on the stage with other players, he was always the top dog. It’s Hendrix versus Beck for best ever. And I’d have Van Halen 3rd.
Rory Gallagher
