THANKS for the video, you saved me probably $70 or $80 bucks! I followed your instructions and everything went just like your video. Super easy. I got the bulb at NAPA stock # BP194NA.
Bulb Sylvania 194.
Thank you so much. It was very easy with your instructions.
Awesome now i just need someone to help me do this and show them this video 😅😊thank you so much !!!
The lights on mine have been out for years, I didn't even know if they lit up or not! THANKS
future shock hahaha, same with me. Once I noticed, I wasn’t sure if they lit up at all or not!!!
Great video. On my daughter`s 2008 Sentra, the chrome trim did not want to separate from the shifter knob so I went ahead and just popped up the cover with the knob still on. There was still enough room to replace the bulb. Easy fix. Thanks for the info.
So easy! Thanks. I did it on the parking lot waiting my laundry
turn the ignition switch on (DO NOT START THE ENGINE), press on the brake pedal and shift to neutral or drive then pull on the plastic trim up and disconnect the connectors.
If you remove the AC control panel it will come off completely and get access to the light that illuminates the coin/loose items section bellow the gear shift also.
For all of those that think it is a tight fit to replace that bulb... next time before you start turn the ignition switch on, press on the brake pedal and shift to neutral or drive then pull on the plastic trim up and disconnect the connectors. The whole thing will be free in your hands to enjoy and flip it in any way you want. It shouldn't be so difficult at all.
Thank you so much for pointing this out! Indeed, it was much easier this way! :)
Or you could pop up the small cover on the shifter plate(on the opposite side of where the "P" is, stick a flat head screwdriver and push the white plastic down, push the brake in and you will now be able to manually shift into neutral, even while the battery is disconnected.
You do not need to remove the handle(shifter knob) at all just lift the frame up, and there is enough room to work from under it, Follow the cables to the light bulb twist to the left, remove it, and replace the light bulb then find the hole with your finger and insert a twist to the right. ( I rested my body on the seat belly down with the driver door open to be able to see the hole where I was going to insert the bulb.
I really needed this video. Thank you.
I dit it with your video!!! Thank you so much!!!! Poderrr femenino 💁🏻♀️
Yo también lo voy hacer. Algunos tips?

what number is the bulb?
Thank you you've been great help
Nice job son! Make sure you put my tools back! Lol
This procedure is pretty similar for Nissan Primera 2003 (P12), except that the gear shift is held by two forward-facing recess screws...
Thank you!
My gear shift knob is really worn out. I wanna replace it with an aftermarket one but I'm not sure if it will work
thanks for the number.
How do you push the thing back down?

I bought 194NA from Amazon. SYLVANIA 194NA Long Life Miniature Bulb, (Contains 2 Bulbs)
Do does work for the gear lights? I was told it was for the license plate lights
Gerardo Silva I didn’t try it for plate
My is different guear shift
I just did this to my 08 Sentra, and my bulb had a little yellow cover on it
You don't need a screwdriver just push it down with your hand. Grab it with 2 fingers and push it down.
