Awesome review! Nothing better in my opinion than molded flights. And these have a bonus of not needing specialty shafts or even separate champagne rings.
I use them since the beginning of 2021.I broke two in a year, when i normally use to consume a box of winmau zeta in the same period.Great product.Definitely.
Triple Bulls first throw sweet.... just want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas you guys have a good one up there and we will catch you on the next one
I started with cosmo fit flight system. Lived and breathed by them! Until Fitzy turned me onto L-style. Will never go back. I love them. One thing personally I have noticed is the molded flights are more durable which will cause more weird deflections. It’s rare but you will see an awkward bounce here and there. But I feel like it takes the place of the Robin Hood’s you would get by using a standard stem/flight system. Great video man! Merry Christmas!
Great review Worldwide I always assumed flights like this would be heavier. I use Winmau Rhino flights so definately going to give these L Style flights a go now that I know the weight is similar. Hope you have a wonderful Xmas 🎄🎅☃️🎁🎯
Yeah, I was really surprised myself. I know I've reviewed other molded flights but to be honest I had no idea what a regular folding flight weighed. I thought they would be lighter and molded flights would be heavier. But without a doubt these L-Style flights performed exactly like a regular folding flight. I was quite surprised with the results. In a good way. 👍🏻
Been using L Style standard flights for years there built like rhino horns l use harrows apex points l have actually robin hood a ez flight but l use the champagne rings which l have never had a robin hood l love L Style Cheers WWD and Merry Christmas
you shoulda stopped after the pre-boom. then you coulda had a perfect demo, bullx3-->180. I took your advice on these a year ago and all 5 sets I have are still in tact. They are just awesome. The one thing I notice is that some L-Style flights are lighter than others and the thicker ones will cause more deflections. I like how they fit on all standard stems but I've noticed that certain Unicorn stems I have don't fit the flights that great and you get a lot of flights popping off when playing. Other than that I won't ever buy another flight that isn't L-Style. Decent amount of colors too. I like the Jelle Klassen style flights with the integrated champagne rings.
Yeah, I'm really sold on these things. I went into the review with a bad memory and I honestly didn't remember how much a regular folding flight weighed. I thought they would be lighter and that the L-Style would be heavier. It was quite a surprise but in a good way. Great flights!
Throw is on fire mate very jealous lol. I like the sound of these might have to get a set from UK really get annoyed when I robin hood a set of stems and break them yes stems are cheap from UK but if I buy a set local over here in Australia they are not cheap. Cheers mate!
WWD, I haven't but been commenting on anything for months now. However, I've been watching all your vids and have been waiting to see Your own darts. You have helped me improve my game. A few vids ago you mentioned reviewing a set of Daytona Fire, well I could send a new, or slightly used set of 04's. I'd like to see what you think of them. However, I really would enjoy the ( WWD ) model just because, where can I purchase them, or trade for the D fire 04? Happy holidays to You.. Now I'll watch the vid lol.
I appreciate the comment. Thank you for that. The darts used for the bullseye and the ones in the thumbnail are an old prototype. I'll have new ones coming out soon. I'd be up for reviewing a set of the Target's. Feel free to email me at irishdarts1@yahoo dot com 👍🏻
Hi world dart what grams do you like the most? And can you make a viddeo how to stand when darting and how to throw and follow the dart good? Bqse i keep hurting my elebow if u folow my dart after the throw and i need to throw very hard others its a bad throw .. i use myself the bull’s dart 90% grip 23 grams and idk how to feel bout them can you make a viddeo whit them? So i can see if im not good whit them or that they are not good? (Would really really help me)i hope you can throw good w them i can not afford them really mutch .. my mom is sick and it cost alot .. hope you can help me ❤️ keep upp the work! A fan out of Belgium 😃
I only throw L-Style L3 small standards basically. I picked up one of the 5 packs of these and they work great with mission carbon stems since they're a little thinner. I've found that thicker ones can cause the built in cap to split if you really push them down. I've robin hooded a few with real sharp points but they last a super long time regardless and maintain shape great.
There's a lot of pro players using L-Style now (Clemens, Sulovic, Searle, Jim Williams, Fallon, Ashton, Peter Wright had a go with something very similar too) seems their stuff is becoming much more popular at the top level recently. I've got a set of the Klaasen Kami L1 flights and they're great (they're molded but flexible) only issue is they need separate champagne rings like the L-style pro flights...
been using l style champagne flights for like a year now, bought 3 sets early jan or feb 1still packed.they are far more durable then they seem , they feel thin and flimsy but they aren't i tried a multitude of molded flights and these are the only ones that come close enough to a regular flight, and thus are the only ones worth ur money if u ask me( i played a like 60-90 min a day on average for 6 months btw. agree on almost everything same experience in general as u it seems.( i wanted to add something though, if u use something like a target pixel grip or something along these lines id just forget using these things i havent tried it but i think they will eat them.(i used mine on mission kronos darts, also not the smoothest of darts but they dont eat them they look slightly roughed up thats it)
Yeah, there's definitely some aggressive gripped darts out there that chew up ANY flights. If someone uses a basic multi ring dart and eliminates the lip where the point meets the barrel then these flights should last months.
I have been using l style for the last year and I love them! Plus I have not had to replace any flights for falling out. It takes a while to scuff them as well
You are on point with this review. 100micron standard flights, especially the no. 2 large standard ones weight the same or more than the l style standard flights i have. Amazing, i usually buy the 5set "jar". Costs like 26euros, last me a year. And people would say theyre expensive, but they would throw away 1-2sets of poly flights a week... Costing twice as much.
Haha a year later and most pros are using moulded flights 😆 tried a set of moulded ones donkeys years ago but gonna try them again I think see if if they’ve improved.
Those look like the flights from the special $300 darts that you reviewed except hat they will work with a standard shaft. Definitely won’t work with my original Blackwidow Dart stems. I keep about 5 reserve sets because they are hard to find.
Gave the L-style with the champagne cap a try, and it was a major disappointment. The champagne cap doesn't hold the flight in place, and the slimmer flights split a lot easier than cosmos. Ended up going back to nylon stems, and folded flights. Hope these are more durable than those I used.
I found something you said interesting in regards to heavy flights upsetting balance. I use the condor axe system I imagine those make the back end pretty heavy what’s your thoughts on those?
@@WorldwideDarts what are your match stem and flights? I love the axe flights as I’ve used them for 3 months and they look brand new still but once in awhile I do get crazy deflections. Maybe something lighter but also durable is something I should try. Maybe these? Lol I used the fit flight system before this one but weirdly enough the black pro ones that were really durable I’d get annoyed with their shapes lol. Their standard equivalent was a really weird shape maybe I’m just ocd and like my traditional looking flights
@@Jc_cerebral My match flights are the L-Style Bullets. I use a 20 cent set of Designa stems or the Harrows carbon stems to go with them. Intermediate length. I can also use the Cosmo Fit Flight Pro V-1 flights. Both fly the same. I could also get away with using the Target Vision Edge flights. All 3 flights perform similar
Review went downhill after the first 20 seconds… lol. Seriously, great review. I purchased one L Style just to check them out but it’s the throw back caps. I was always concerned of losing a cap during tournament play. These that’s not an issue which brings up another point. Would be nice to compare these to the Robson flights. There are fans of Robson which I’m one but this review has me thinking best price gets it. Competition is always great, especially with purchasing products.
Yeah that's for sure. Any review would be downhill after that opener. That's a rarity for sure. Definitely the first time I've done it after hitting record. Robson's are great but I really like these ones a lot.
@@WorldwideDarts that’s why I really like this video. Great to reach out to dart options every now and then because I’m learning that flights and stems can help turn any dart to a playable option. It should be the option to try before blaming the dart. That being said, grip is really important
you mention price as a negtive but it really isn't... honestly the $7-10 I spent on these flight, they have lasted 6+ months compaired to the $1 foldable flights that might last a month or 2 at best... the value for me with the L-styles has been their longivity. Negatives for me are more logistical... you have to keep these flights in some sort of dart case to keep them from warping. you need to get those little flight cases or you need to keep them in the orginal packaging if you have extra. Most dart cases (like the casemaster) don't have anyplace to keep spare molded flights.
Not only that but sharp points will KILL a dartboard much quicker. The sharp points chew up the spider and slice & dice the sisal. A rounded point like the Target Storms are perfect for all around play.
What are some reasons pro players might prefer folding flights over molded? I was robinhooding my Nitro Tech stems increasingly frequently, and I started considering molded flights. But the multitude of options and the prices make it difficult to choose a product family to start with. At the moment I use 2mm ballbearings embedded in my 100 micron flights, and it seems to have fixed the robinhooding issue. It's a challenge to punch the 2mm hole in the flight so it's perfectly located at the entry divot at the tip of the stem, but with Red Dragon Triton points everything lasts a good long time, and I don't have to punch a lot of flights. At the moment, molded flights seem like an unnecessary novelty.
I wanted to try L style flights, I saw some with a T-rex on of some player on dartshopper and the ryan searle, loved them, but I never undertood how to set them up, now I'm interested to them to dodge some robin hoods
