- Dipendra Bhandari follows the family of Punimaya Kami of Rolpa, heading up the Himalayan flanks in search of yarsagumba, the fungus-larvae prized in East Asia for its energising properties. The family joins the caravan of thousands of other yarsa hunters in an organised mass-mobilisation of villagers converging from many districts. As the trek proceeds up treacherous yet breath-taking trails, Journey to Yarsa, simultaneously reveals the struggle, hope, laughter, romance and resilience in the lives of the hill people who go to dig for survival every summer in the High Himal.

So here goes:
Yes, we've definitely provided them a certain amount of our revenue. Not only this, we've also helped educate 2 of their younger children in a boarding school in Kathmandu for 5 years, after which they decided to go back to their village. When they visit Kathmandu, we still send them back with warm clothes and some snacks for their children, even now. Punimaya's family is not only a subject of our documentary, but also a part of our personal lives/relationship. Thank you everyone for your concern! :)

An Epic Documentary .I was continuously saddened to see the struggle of poor Punimaya's family and worried if they can earn 100k. Finally I felt happy, they earned 150k. Thank God for a happy ending to the season.

Government was ignorant about all those amount at that time but since they all saw documentries like this, now Government mafia must have already interfered there in recent years.

Have watched more than 30 times but each times it's special and mesmerizing. I get emotional when I see the problems of our people plus even get some lessons to be happy in no matter what happens as the happiness and smile seen in Punimaya family. Hope her family is doing well now and even all the people up there. Government need to do something for the people of the country who are in such hardships.

Maybe different people have different perception , What shall I say but As for me This is the best thing I have watched so far in my life in youtube ,it tells us about so many things which people living in cities , tik tok ,reels and instagram users won't understand I believe who are so involved in worldly things and are self centered .
but for a person like me ,I appreciate it alot , It shows the hardships of people and how Nature has both sides ,It is a source of income and living in one side and the other it's even taking lives of people ,who are being injured and fatal .
