Marilyn Sears Hi Marilyn, because over time that opening will loosen. Also, some people like their edging very tight to hold their hair up. Elastic cord can also be used in the same way. Thank you so much for the compliment by the way

Lisa Blakely Hi, it means do 2 of whatever stitch it says in the pattern within the same space/stitch you’re crocheting into (it makes more stitches and makes everything gradually get bigger)
Hi, I do not at this time. What I will most likely do is put a private link in each of my patterns for people who purchase those. To do a public video on UA-cam would be giving the patterns away for free, so I cannot do it that way.
It's just a made up flower, nothing specific. I have the hat pattern available in my shop. If I have time at some point I can make a private video tutorial to go along with the pattern that I sell.
