I've been reminding myself this with the Heaven on Earth palette by Sydney Grace. I worry they will discontinue it and it is currently my go to favorite palette. I've never loved a palette like I love that one but I remember hearing people talk about backup palettes they don't use and have stopped myself.
this is exactly why you don’t “wait for a special occasion” or “savoring my favorite product” because preferences do change! And with project panning…. pan and use the stuff you love now because in the future you might be hate(dislike)-panning it
Maybe you can get rid of some of the red in the Kokie blush and make it less intense, when you repress it. I think it will still be a nice warm color just not too intense.
It’s so funny, I’ve always thought you had a warm undertone, and so was surprised when you said you were neutral/cool. I chalked it up to lighting/video made it seem warm.
I have no idea how you’ve kept the befitting blush cap intact!! Essence blushes and highlights lids alwayyyyys break for me! Of course I still love them but definitely makes my makeup drawer messier
It depends on how old the packaging is. Their packaging used to be much better, I have the same blush from around 2016-2017 and that one still has it's cap. The highlighter from 2019 has its cap broken off. IDK how they changed it, but there was a change in quality in the mid to late 2010s.
Not me using dipbrow as you talk about it. Lol. I love it still. & the Milani shadow primer... i developed an allergy to it. But it did work well. Ugh These are my favorite type videos, anything with long-term thoughts for whatever reason.
I bought the kokie blush because of your love😂. I'm finding I had no clue what I like until I started project panning. I'm learning I don't really use the crazy amount of things I own.
Love your Lego orchid! ETA: As for changing my mind on a product, I used to LOVE the IT Cosmetics CC Cream. It was my Holy Grail. But I recently repurchased it after not having it for about a year, and... wow, I really do not like the way it looks on my skin now. I have to alter my application method too much to avoid it getting cakey, whereas there are so many other foundations I use and love now that are effortlessly pretty on the skin.
I enjoyed the update and the reasoning behind the changes. As to the blush preferences I agree with your assessment of your skin tone and would add dying your hair red and the color that still remains adds to the effect.
i also haven’t used my essence blush in befitting in a while. i think i just like brighter coloured blushes now along with cream and liquid blush. but it’s a gorgeous, silky blush still, as you said. think i’ll reach back into it now as where i’m at it’s nearing winter ☺️ the one in the shade beaming is a really lovely soft, nude peachy tone in case you were looking for something lighter ✨ i also used to ride or die for a long wearing lip product 😂 still enjoy them but they’re just not nearly as comfortable as a less long wearing product. it’s really not the end of the world to reapply something 😂
I bought the Essence blush in Befitting because of you! I’ve actually bought a lot of makeup because of you!! I still love them all. Preferences do change…why it’s good NOT to buy backups. TFS…Lorie 😊
Love this kind of videos. Btw, one potential reason for mascara flaking and issues might be wearing spf (or wearing more spf then we used to wear). I find that all my mascaras just look much worse if I'm wearing spf.
Sometimes when the style changes and something looks dated, we can really see how it wasn't that flattering. Mauve blushes had their moment, blushes now have a little sheen which is more flattering than flat matte, unless one is naturally dewy. So, like bright pigment but it is tempered nowadays by a silver sheen or gold sheen or pearl, rather than ashy flat. Or we use highlighter with it. Maybe your mauve blush would look better with some sheen, either buffed on top or applied underneath.
I never loved the Essence Befitting Blush like you, but I liked it. Buuut it's been quite some time since I've used it 😀 Maybe because I've fallen in love with my old Revolution blush palettes, where the colors are a bit brighter 🤔☺ I use the NYX glitter primer pretty much every single day. I sorta have to, cause I have very hooded lids, where the shimmers will crease intensely if they don't have something sticky to grap 😀
Hey Sara, I be been believing you fits in spring color palette theory, if you look into it, you’ll love it. I personally fits in light spring and been following that color suggestions, absolutely helping and saving me lots of time figuring put which eyeshadow to wear, which clothes to purchase.
I'm so glad the Milani mascara doesn't flake on me! I would be devastated. lol The whole reason I love it is because it's one of the only mascaras I've tried that doesn't flake or smudge. I'm so picky when it comes to mascara!
I purchased a tube of it during a sale, to try, after I finish my current mascara because of the rave reviews and now I'm worried I'm going to be disappointed because the number one mascara deal breaker for me is flaking! 😅
@@EarthlyBeauty Same here! It drives me crazy. 👎🏻 I've used 3 tubes of it, and haven't had any flaking, but everyone's lashes and experiences are so different. 🤷🏻♀️ Good luck!! I'm rooting for you! haha
I wonder if the blush preference is seasonal? I find I like peach on me when I don't have much of a tan hut I feel like it is too much when I do have more of a tan.
Was just thinking that about my rare beauty lipstick lively really pretty color but now hate the way it looks on me. Also went back to using liquid eyeliner. don’t really like halo glow or flawless filter. Trying out some new ones.
Those eyebrow pomades never looked good on me.. my brows don't need that much filling in because they're already dark, so i just use brow pencils instead
It’s funny how preferences change over time…a good reason to not purchase “back-ups”! I love that NYX pink stick too…so good!
Exactly!! Whenever i have a backup, i usually change my mind on it before I even open the backup 😂🤦🏼♀️

Oh you’re so smart! I’m going to do that! Then it won’t be quite so deep
I feel like you have your colors down, the makeup look in this video looks so nice on you!
It’s so funny, I’ve always thought you had a warm undertone, and so was surprised when you said you were neutral/cool. I chalked it up to lighting/video made it seem warm.
Same!!!! Her hair always look red on my phone too.
I have no idea how you’ve kept the befitting blush cap intact!! Essence blushes and highlights lids alwayyyyys break for me! Of course I still love them but definitely makes my makeup drawer messier
Mine is intact too so far but I haven't used it as much 😅 but all of my essence banana powders have ALWAYS cracked their lids or something 💩

I think you’re right! When I dyed my hair red was when I really started leaning into warm tones 💛
Man, it's weird how preferences change. I never thought matt lips would be over for me. Now, I'm all over the long wearing products after braces
i also haven’t used my essence blush in befitting in a while. i think i just like brighter coloured blushes now along with cream and liquid blush. but it’s a gorgeous, silky blush still, as you said. think i’ll reach back into it now as where i’m at it’s nearing winter ☺️ the one in the shade beaming is a really lovely soft, nude peachy tone in case you were looking for something lighter ✨

I haven't used the Befitting Blush either for quite some time 😀

Your eye look is stunning. Very sophisticated look today.
Thank you!!
I used to love the ABH brow pomade way back when, but it was an intense look. But I also currently love the NYX lift and snatch brow pen.

Warm tones look fantastic on you. I’m super cool toned and I love peaches and yellows on you and am jealous that they look terrible on me.

Your eye look is beautiful!

Have you ever tried contouring with a mauve tone? I may be crazy but I am warm toned and I feel like mauve works great as a contour tone for me.
I don't know if it lighting, a healthier life style, the hair. A tan or what but your complexion and colouring look really great right now.
Love this idea

same with the matte essence blush.. bought another color because i thought that was the problem but nope.. just dont like it as it is 😂
I absolutely love the NYX pro fix in pink for my very dark circles
It is amazing!!!
Those eyebrow pomades never looked good on me.. my brows don't need that much filling in because they're already dark, so i just use brow pencils instead
It seems like Nyx is really hitting it out of the park for you lately.
They are!! I would say NYX is my favorite drugstore brand at the moment.
Funny you menion liking warmer tones for blushes, do you still like the Flower Beauty Sweet Pea Blush?
I do still love that one. I think because it’s so light! I feel like most mauve blushes look heavy on my face but not the flower one 🫶🏻🌸
It’s funny how in your intro you talked about conscious consumerism but you’re supporting and promoting brands that support gen o cide
