Just FYI for readers...anytime you have exposed particle board you should not use a water-based primer. It's better to use an oil-based or shellac primer. The Zinsser BIN primer is fantastic and dries super fast
You guys are hilarious. I bought cabinets pulled from a house for 400. Sanding them now, have some cabinets pulled out of kitchen. I figure in about oh, 45 years I'll be finished.
I know how it feels, we are building a house now an we are finishing it out, it's been about 7 months so far, but almost done! Hope all goes well on your cabinet replacement 👍
You know I had to come over to stay . 😊 I currently have two acres that I'm hoping to trade for a shed or Rv to live in . I'm excited to purchase more land that is one hundred unrestricted . Four months later , how's the paint holding up . I love the white
Paint holding up good, just have to sand the #$&@ out of everything to get that cheep mobile home finish off. We made the mistake of not sanding first on some of our early paint jobs and it just scratches right off.
since we had already started using pre made colors, we were afraid that might not match quite right. also the paint mixing place at our local store is a pain to get anyone that even knows how to operate the color mixer. but yes, this is def what we will do next time, as pre mix colors are limited, and can be hard to find
Absolutely love that I found this video. I'm getting ready to redo my kitchen and it's exactly like yours so this video has hped me out alot
Thank you! You’ve given me hope, and inspiration for these cheap, crappy cabinets!
☮️💖🙏
The doors being put on upside down was too funny!! Black bottom cabinets was the right call!!

I just did this. Lol....I found a small foam roller works great. Gets rid of the brush marks. 😊
Glad it worked for you Tracy 🙂

Looks great! I wish my husband would agree to something similar
Thank you Mary, we wish we would have done it sooner, so we could have enjoyed it longer before we sold the place 🙂

Awesome job, excelente trabajo ! 😃
Thank you! 😃
Wow that looks nice! How is the paint holding up?
It's doing good, my only gripe is with my children killing flies on the white and not cleaning up after 🙄😄
Goodmorning Annmarie , I guess I should have read th comments first , I asked the same question
@@SpringRiverHollar great minds think alike! 🤣
Did you use a top coat on the cabinets. How many coats did you use of the black?
no, if I remember correctly we just used a semi gloss that is good at repelling water and stains
Did the cabinets soak up the paint and bubble again?
No, use an oil based paint, not a water one and that won't happen

Just buy the primer and have it tinted to the color you want.

Never let a child play with outlets back they don't no the difference between water and electricity they don't mix just a safety tip out of love!!
