- Interior designer Eric Ross and his wife and business manager Ruthann Ross invite us into their warm and expansive home, dubbed "Boxwood Hill," in Nashville, Tennessee.
For more extraordinary home tours, visit our website: homeworthy.com
Nestled on 2.5 acres and just 4 miles from downtown, "Boxwood Hill" offers a rare blend of city proximity and natural serenity. Eric and Ruthann have transformed their home with extensive renovations that turned it into an open-floor plan with spaces that feel right out of a charming Southern inn, making it the perfect space for their numerous gatherings with friends.
The interiors of their home are a testament to the couple's exquisite taste. They draw much inspiration from Ralph Lauren, infusing their home with antiques, plaid prints, and warm furnishings.

Love this channel, but find it frustrating that the camera stays focused on the people/person instead of showing us the rooms! Especially when the homeowner is describing something…sometimes the camera doesn’t even show what the homeowner is talking about! I love these beautiful tours, but please show us more HOUSE! Thank you ❤️ BEAUTIFUL HOUSE!👏

This lovely couple opened their home and their lives to Homeworthy - they are deserving of respectful comments and feedback ❤❤❤
I LIKE TO HEAR THEIR STORIES HOW THEY ACQUIRED COLLECTIBLES ETC! If someone has a complaint then move your curser ahead… simple isn’t it?
@@d.l.n.7133 If this channel isn't working for you, perhaps you would find some of the other similar channels more to your preferences.
I was positively horrified to see so many disrespectful and even some downright nasty comments about this couple. I have seen most of the Homeworthy episodes, and I have never seen one that was so polarizing as this one. You are here because you chose to be, and if you find the content objectionable, then exercise your right to click away. But if you do choose to stay, then try to remember your manners.
Now I’m curious. I must watch.
@@watthaile2053 Wow, your comment comes across as quite dramatic and disrespectful towards people who disagree with your personal opinion. I didn’t realize you were so offended, I hope you learn to RESPECTFULLY disagree with others, without showing such anger.
I follow Eric Ross because of his talent in designing! He designs just the way I love...Southern Traditional! I found Eric and Ruthann to be a charming couple and their home is exquisite! I saw pictures of their lovely home decorated for Christmas and it looked so beautiful! I have Eric's book "Enduring Southern Homes" and look forward to his next one! Thank you Homeworthy for this chance to visit with Eric and Ruthann Ross. :)
A true unpretentious partnership and a lovingly curated home. It’s apparent they have a lot of communication about every part of their lives together including their lifestyle. After so many years together, this is endearing. Home Worthy is meant to showcase beautiful homes but also to see how the owners’ style and relationships impact how everything comes together. What a great example of a home that is a palate of the history of their lives together. Congratulations! Beautiful couple and home. I used to live in Nashville and wish I’d known this couple.
Zillow says it was built in 1937. She was right.
I LOVE this comment. He was quite annoying about that.
He’s a bossy bottom🧐
@@MissValdostaFeedAndGrain Hahahahaha!
@@MissValdostaFeedAndGrain😂 he’s giving very DL
@@alecbon6791 😂😂. No you didn’t say that.
I love the long house tours. I find AD and Handmade frustrating as they're so short. That's what makes me come back to this channel again and again. Keep it up!
I agree. Quintessence videos are also far too short
I enjoyed Eric and Ruthann, she is very complimentary of Eric and his talent and he acknowledges her. Plus they have created a beautiful home altogether. Excellent home tour, I enjoyed their comments
If you don't compliment the diva, you're in for it!
Just looked up Eric, had not heard of him before. Eric some of the client photos in your reviews are really gorgeous. The pale green dining room with the red upholstered dining chairs is scrumptious, I LOVE the color play.
You are extremely talented. Ruthann, you are lovely too! Your flowers are beautiful.
I really enjoyed this video. 🌸💐🌷
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. I understand why Eric Ross’ services are so in-demand. I disagree with some of the negative comments about the presentation and think it was informatve and welcoming. Not everyone is as comfortable in front of the camera as Mr. Ross is-he is gifted.
I love this home and enjoyed hearing the stories about the unique pieces throughout their home. And, such a lovely couple. They complement each other very well. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR BEAUTIFULL HOME WITH US.
Our Nashville Treasure…Eric Ross Interiors. ❤️
Eric Ross is full of himself
This couple knows each other’s stories so well -that’s why they can jump in and finish each other’s ideas. ❤ It’s a beautiful home and perfectly decorated. I love this style.
It's very frustrating watching this I would love to see more of the rooms and less of the people
Lovely couple! I really enjoyed this home tour. Beautiful home! They both have great taste and style. I loved it all! ❤
I loved this tour! It is now my favorite Homeworthy tour!! I have followed Eric for a good many years now and love his style! He is so talented and RuthAnn is such a lovely Southern lady who complements Eric in his business. Boxwood Hill is a fine example of a true Southern home! I look forward to Eric’s second book!
💯
One of the reasons I survived ‘The Pandemic” was the fact that Ruthann and Eric posted live presentations on Tuesday. Just seeing all the beautiful things, ideas, fabrics and gorgeous carpets truly sustained me. This lovely power couple are amazing. Their love of beautiful things, incredible talent, welcoming natures are very charming and a winning combination for sure. I love Eric’s book and turn to it for inspiration. I so look forward to his second book. Thank you Homeworthy for this wonderful tour of Boxwood Hill. 💕💕💕💕💕
They have created a warm and beautiful home. Now to check out his book! Thank you for this tour!
Eric Ross is a genius. Everything he touches becomes design perfection. It was nice to see his wife in front of the camera and it was fascinating to see how much she adds to his business. Looking forward to seeing more of his designs in the second book.
I agree. I live in NE Ohio where traditional interiors are king, and Eric does it so well. He is very talented and I think he and his wife just act like a married couple- which they are. So authentic.
Enjoyed the tour of Boxwood Hill. Eric and Ruthann, like their home, are charming, warm, and welcoming! Loved that both of you shared the story of your home!
I love this home tour and I love all the details! I also love it when people say the paint colors and names of fabric and designers. It’s really helpful for people like me. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love your style and home, thanks for sharing Eric and Ruthann.
He was interviewed on the podcast "How to Decorate" and I did a deep dive into his interiors. They are absolutely stunning.
Amazing that this home started life as a duplex. Love all the blue and white. So nice that you are not on a small city lot. Thanks so much for sharing.
Enjoyed this video. Don’t understand why commenters complained about them talking too much or over each other. I just enjoyed the tour.
Your daughter is beautiful ❤So is your home ❤
Lovely house. I just wish that homeowners wouldn’t concentrate on collections or individual items. Show us the overall decor of the rooms.
Love this home and the Ross family…while I don’t know them personally being a REALTOR I am a fan of his interiors and love the homes of Oak Hill …additionally my husband works in the Oak Hill community and loves it as well! My favorite room is the field room where you have brought in knotty pine where others paint over it…Well done my friend!! And for those who speak about your communication between each other just don’t speak the same love language I guess…my husband and I talk the same way with playful banter…a marriage and a home are a blend of two peoples lives and tastes and you have outdone yourselves!! Congratulations on being able to showcase your labor of love to the world!!
I agree. I didn’t feel tension between the couple, however it was annoying to have so much talking constantly. I wish only one had been chosen to host the tour. It wasn’t necessary to describe everything. There was constant, too much talking.
I totally agree. I saw a side of them that I now like! Before, I wasn’t understanding their relationship on camera. They are cute together and they work well together! He’s quite the traditional designer and decorator 💙🩵🤍She supports him emotionally and is his right hand in so many ways!
I love the “ field room” it has a very English vibe. Reminded me of John Steeds apartment in The Avengers 1960s classic cult British Tv.
Too much talking, correcting each other, not enough house tour. But house seems pretty, would have enjoyed the tour though.😢
What a beautiful, fascinating home! Loved hearing about the inspiration for renovations (I.e. the field room). Also enjoyed hearing about the details of the variety of furniture and decor.
I can’t decide if I like the overall style or not, but that’s just me and not a reflection on Eric’s skill. He seems very passionate about his work and that is always a wonderful thing. I do agree with some other commenters that perhaps just one person should do the presentation, unless they are both the decorators/designers.
Eric & Ruthann Ross ! I love your house is beautiful and also I love your interior designer decoration style is gorgeous . I like your home with the wood and wall to the ceiling they give the torch feeling into the home .cozy feel unique, cozy , warm into the home . Thank you very much to sharing your home gorgeous ❤❤❤❤❤
It’s interesting to see an older home of this era start out as a duplex and become a single family home. Usually it’s the other way around.
One of my favorite designers, great to see their lovely home. Awesome RL-inspired green room!
I like this house much more than most of the ones that Homeworthy features, it's full of antiques and real vibes. The others are in a flashing high-end American style, I would say, which doesn't resonate with me and most old-continent antique lovers. Thumbs up
agree!
Lovely! I have been a fan of Eric Ross for quite awhile!
I absolutely love Eric Ross. What a beautiful home. I love seeing a home in Tennessee featured.
I guess the homeowners are excited so they talk alot, but it can become a distraction after a while.
I wish we had seen the bedrooms, the bathrooms and the upstairs too. I love the 2 paintings of their daughter, one, when she was a child and the second one, when she became a beautiful young lady. Lucky couple working from home most of their lives, so they can spend a great family time together and be actively present in their daughter's life.
I like their home, maybe not the story of their every single plate and ornament, but this is what home means to them, gathering their best treasured items, each with a story attached to it. Agree, that they seem very awkwardly different individuals for a married couple, but opposites attract and they surely are very happy together after such a long marriage. 👏❤ well done 😊 greetings from the UK.
It amazes me when I see the beautiful, spacious homes inside and out and the people say they didn't have the money to do this or that and I'm thinking "but you've done enough". More space than you need and it's Beautiful.
Lovely home...thank you for sharing it!
They seem to be competing with each other at times, but overall lovely home and thank you to the couple for inviting us in for a peek:)
It seems that she interrupts him or talks over him too much. I love his designs and really enjoyed this tour.
I didn’t get this vibe at all! I thought they acted like a typical, loving married coupe of 29 years!
Can you go back to getting home tours. There has been to much talking in all episodes lately. 😢
Agree
Way too much talking. We don’t need to know every detail about every item in this house.
@@beegood14It does get boring…. Love the homes….
I usually just tap forward 😅 I tend to enjoy tours under well 40 mins.
Totally agree with you
Not sure where all the negativity is about…I liked them together….well done you two…be happy
OMG! Eric Ross! one of my all time favorites. LOVE HIM
a normal, real couple. beautiful home!
a normal couple? LMAO
What an absolute treat this was! Thank you for opening up your home.
I think they are charming as is their home.
I love this home. Thank you to Eric Ross and his wife for sharing it with us. I absolutely love his style of decorating and if I ever won a lottery. I would immediately hire him to design my home. His wife is very sweet and so gracious, they seem very well matched. Their beautiful daughter is so very lucky to have such talented parents. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home and I look forward to the new book. God Bless you both. A Canadian fan
Think he should have done the tour. He is the designer. Think the presentation would have been smoother.
I JUST Looooooove this DESIGNER, HIS BEAUTIFUL WIFE AND AHMAAAZING HIME💙🤍🩵💙💚🤍🩵💙💚🤍
Home 🏡
After reading some of the comments: I thought this was a very Jane Austen moment for Homeworthy. And the house is beautiful.
Tip to Homeworthy- if you plan on having two hosts- have them pick rooms for only one of them to talk about. Both of them having chicken fights to talk in every room caused me a headache. Love Homeworthy and I often watch the episodes twice but definitely not this home even though the home is very nice.
This is what happens when two queens are given the mic. All bets are off. Someone is going down. I adore Eric's work but I had to sit this one out.
Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
😂😂
Love your home. Tour was great. Design is absolutely perfect. The details are spot on. Great job guys
What a beautiful home. Love all the details. Also loved hearing the history and story behind the renovations. I could have easily watched another hour which included the upstairs‘ rooms
Me too! I would love to see a sequel to this video. I think it's just wonderful!
Perfection! Absolutely my favorite HW tour!!!
Lovely, cozy vibe and a beautiful interior ❤
This home is absolutely gorgeous! Love it!❤
I would like to know who makes the Ikat print wallpaper and fabric in the living room. They have a very curated home with so many great pieces. I loved the white wicker chairs and all the blue and white. Maybe I will name my home and give rooms specific names. I appreciated their honesty and down to earth discussion in the tour.
Fyi, Eric Ross, Louis XVII died at the age of 10, and therefore, he did not have time to develope an own furniture/interior design style... simply... the style Louis XVII does not exist! hahahaha LOL!
Absolutely beautiful home.
You Guys! Really pleasurable couple! This was really fun to watch and learn. I bet your hosting is the mostest! Great, great home!
Omg! Eric Rose!! One of my favorites
One of my favorite Homeworthy homes. It is comfortable! I love the blue and white. I was disappointed we didn't see a bedroom! Maybe next time?
I knew the minute I saw the house it had to be Eric’s. ❤
I think they should’ve decided on who’s going to host Homeworthy because they don’t seem to flow like most couples do on this platform
Totally disagree!!
I love Eric…love his hair…love all the fabric he uses….she just acts mean and bossy……would have been a much better video without her and listen to his ideas…HE IS SO CREATIVE AND TALENTED…..wish we could see the bedrooms…the pantry is to die for and the gorgeous kitchen makes us all so jealous!!!
Too much talking…….just show the rooms
Thats when I watch in2.0 speed LOL
@@michelleg.8190
Same here!
Sometimes we should keep our thoughts to ourselves. Rudeness is worser than too much talking.
Is worser even a word?
I don’t agree at all. I like hearing the story of people’s homes. It’s the story behind a room that turns a house into a family’s home.
What a lovely couple!!!!! I think it's so cool to see that he is the creative and she is the brains that manages the business. What a beautiful combination of talents between the two of them. They really compliment each other so well - love hearing them interrupt each other in their storytelling because that's honestly what marriage is like!!!! Haha. I really enjoyed this tour. Their house is so grand but actually cozy, I would feel right at home there :) and their blue and white collection is the stuff of dreams!!!! My favorite room was also the china closet :) I love seeing how she had all her tablecloths already ironed and on hangers
also i would love to see homeworthy come back here and do a christmas tour. i bet this couple makes their home MAGICAL for christmas!!!!
I thought they were going to start fighting any minute….she rolled her eyes at him toooo much….so rude…love his hair!
He is the Designer - Let him speak -
We L😍VED everything about this Homeworthy visit! What a beautiful home and charming couple. We found it delightful and entertaining to hear how personal each and every element of their home is to them. Thanks for sharing, Eric & Ruthann!
Love, love, love their style! So much character. I would love to revisit this home at the holidays.
I LOVED THIS!! Wow, what a beautiful and warm home! So livable, too! Thank you for all the details - I loved all the details of why you made the choices that you did. The comments you made at the end were so heartwarming. Know you both must be so proud of the home and business you have built, and more importantly, the life you have built! Can’t wait for your next book!!❤
I love their direct, matter of fact approach (and humor too) with each other. That's real life, real marriage. Their decorating style is very intimate and beautiful. I enjoyed their home tour.
I was delighted to watch this tour.
There home is so welcoming ,beautiful, and at the same time relaxing.
Some homes feel too stuffy and uptight like some of thee owners of there homes.
Love your dish room!!!!
Beautiful home. Love that kitchen. My next home will have a china and linen closet. I so love that idea b/c you don't want to hide those lovely things, you want to be able to see them and use them all the time.
This is my very favorite tour. This is amazing, and I so love that the house is completely liveable. Nothing seems to be unapproachable. It's all meant to be enjoyed. I love hearing all the stories they have shared with us. This is like having a master class in design, practicality, and style. I'm trying to soak it all in and remember everything they're teaching us in this video. I love this couple and I love their home. Thanks for the tour! 💕
Oh I could move right in to Boxwood Hill...it is truly beautiful. And now I am thinking Peale Green might be the color I want for my living room!! Thanks to Eric and Ruth Ann for inviting us inside their home. Eric you won me over when you said you did not do a lot of gray! I am so glad that trend is going bye bye. I am a lover of color but sometimes I let those neutral lovers sway my decision.
I love everything about this home!!
Your home is absolutely gorgeous. I plan to rewatch this video many times so I can take in all the beautiful ideas. Even though my home could probably fit into yours 7 or 8 times, and I probably couldn’t afford a phone call with you, your style is exactly what I love, and I can get lots of tips from you. Thanks so much for sharing your home…and I’m going to start looking for your book as soon as I finish typing this. Thanks again-you are an amazing designer!
Adorable couple and a beautiful home!
Gorgeous home! Great decorating tastes.
I really loved this home and this couple. I am from Charleston so his design aesthetic really speaks to me. Gorgeous! Thank you for sharing!
He interrupts her, they don’t flow together. I can’t even watch more of this video -the guy isn’t nice to his counterpart
I thought the woman was irritating
Eric Ross is one of my favorite designers! This was such a treat! I hope there will be a part two so we can see some of the bedrooms... Thank you, Eric and Ruthann for a beautiful tour.
I have Eric's design book. Love his work and his home.
Beautiful home,i enjoyed watching the tour 😍
I just love the way Eric and RuthAnn live in their beautiful home . I have been in love with Eric's designs since his first book! This is my kind of interiors with all the warmth and antiques. Thank you for a beautiful episode and I am so looking forward to Eric's new book :-)
Beautiful home! However it would have been a better tour if Eric could have done the talking alone. His wife always talking over him and interrupting him became annoying. Otherwise stunning furnishings and construction phase ideas.👍🐶
I was excited to see it was going to be Eric Ross. I greatly admire his work and feel inspired for the direction of my own home.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful home! 10:06pm.6/3/24
I love hearing about the items!😊
The kitchen is my favorite place! It is wonderful!
Great video and beautiful home/interior design. Thanx!
Dont fret about the backsplash. It's lovely, and is very well complimented by the buffalo check wall coverings and window treatments
I love when you show houses that appear welcoming and like a real home, takes a lot of talent to accomplish a beautiful, comfortable design.
Boring couple. A lot of no sense talking.
The problem is.. he’s the artist trying to give a direct view of what drives his design and the wife tries to speak for him a tad too much. Not that she’s being rude, but he is the artist. You can see it annoys him.
Yes. It looks like a lot of tension is surfing under the cool image. Both want the center stage. He's more artistic but she's more socially aggressive. There's a life/death duel going just under our eyes.
It makes for socially interesting case but it's not the ideal for a house showcase😮
