Decorative Trios is great on this, too! I made a stack of them, the day they came in. Haven't made cards with them, but really love how they make up. Love how you combine sets together. Very inspirational!

I received my Empress last week. My Gemini machine are not cutting right, have both small and big. Tried the Empress cut like butter and the emboss is gorgeous, run the first only once. Will recommend it.

Such a pretty card for your niece. Loving the basket, butterflies, and flowers; so pretty. But I agree with you, it needs to lay flat and cutting the middle would work. TYFS
I really like the idea of the pop up basket, but agree it needs to open flat to work well. I used the pop up Christmas tree from Anna Griffin and ended up gluing it down while keeping the card open. That did help some, but might be good to try cutting the ends as you suggested. The butterflies are very nice.

Lovely card. I fold my pop-ups backward and glue. I don't see anyone else do that, but that is how I did it before discovering UA-cam tutorials. I hate those calls too. I even used to get them saying they want to buy my vehicle because it was in high demand. Thanks and I hope you are doing well.

Card is very pretty. Once again, die is too large for my machine and I can't buy a machine just to fit a die. It seems like a lot of Anna's die are very big lately. She must assume everyone can afford an Empress. NOT! I have started checking the size of the dies in the description. I have had to pass on several I would have liked to have because of that. Some looked like they could have easily been made in 2 pieces instead of one.

Yes, cut the doily part on the bottom down the center and put each half on either side of the fold. Karen Burniston makes her dies to do that automatically when you make her projects. It seems like it would be better to attach the handle last?

When Anna shows putting the inside basket or cup inside she shows you glue or tape one side down with it pushed to the center fold. Then to adhere the other side push the basket or teacup down to the open card rather than closing the card to the cup or basket. Hope that makes sense.

Btw, I just received my large Empress yesterday afternoon. It said put the die on the magnetic with the flat side on the magnet and cutting side up, then paper right side down, then clear plate on top. So not cutting into magnetic. (I know, I have seen her say cut into it. But these instructions said no. Don't know what to say.). The cross die from Crafters Companion did not cut in the center, which was my problem with Gem Jr. Looked at troubleshooting, and it said put metal shim between bottom clear plate and magnetic, then die cutting side up, paper right side dow, then top clear plate. It did cut better then, but finally had to put a full sheet of cardstock as an extra shim, and a smaller
Piece of cardstock in addition in the center. Still had to pick confetti out. Tool in one brush didn't help. I think the die has to be defective.
All your ‘pet peeves’ in working with the AG pop-outs are the exact reasons I am only tempted, but do not buy... If only they would open flat I might succumb.... but then again, I also don’t like making ‘big’ as in 5x7 cards. It’s a preference thing I can’t explain. Still nice watching you create.

For the life of me I don't understand why people give thumbs down. If you dont like something then just don't respond. It's hard for makers to put themselves out there and should be appreciated for their hard work. Sorry for the rant, it just irks me to see thumbs down.
