Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video and actually using the mts 🙏 it's a major selling point for the OR trim but so many reviewers gloss over it
Fantastic review, make sure to have all the fuses you need for the Tundra! We love watching your family adventures! The gas octane issue is very well researched so definitely worth looking into it and judge for yourself, regular won't do anything but save you money in that truck 😅 enjoy the giant tent comfort!
Dude I totally understand when say, the Tacoma crawl control sounds like dial-up Internet. lol I hate the sound and it freaks me out every time I use it. Keep up the good content!
Did you find 400 amp plug in you truck bed on th passenger side? Mine has one also there is another plug at the base of the center console in the back seat you have to turn them o with a button to the left of the steering wheel
The way you’re using the crawl control in the first half of the video isn’t really it’s intent. It’s a little cheat system to mimic lower gearing like what you’d feel from having a doubler (double transfer case).. but the way it is designed is really silly, and as you described, it works a lot like traction control… which is not a good thing for odd roading. It might seem like it helped on that dry terrain, but in the snow, those types of functions will actually prevent you from doing steep inclines on ice or snow.. not help you. In slippery conditions, inertia is king.. and in buried situations, a much better version of crawl control is to just put your E-brake halfway on and feather the throttle.. That’s how people did it before cars were basically iPhones on wheels.
So im not diggin these new tundras at all….no matter how many vids i see or upgrades i see i just dont like it….i rather get a tacoma…but….holy shit that is one awesome tent!!! 😂
Toyotas are tuned to run on 87 octane. I get the same gas milage with 87. Also, there is a cigarette lighter outlet on top of dash behind the monitor. You can plug your Jackery in that while you drive.
“Jackery, worth jumping on the hood of a moving car for!” Though unintentional, that was the best jackery ad I’ve seen.
Huge ground tents always make me reconsider if I really want an RTT or not. Thing is huge! Great video Maxx

Makes me thankful for my wee little TJ with a single beep for everything.
Those new fangled contraptions. Spit ping.
Great Video Max
Good Job of Explaining how to use the off road equipment in the Tundra
Good to see your Family
I never thought I'd see Maxx "normal people camping"👏😂

Talked to you at the overland rally, I was the one that offered you a beer and you gave me stickers.
Ohh brother, thanks for the video. After watching it, I immediately went outside to kiss my old 80 series LC 😜✊🏽. Keep up the great videos!
Crawl control is just fine on the tacoma lol. It's noisy but not an issue at all.
Driver side passenger door damaged how much that gone cost? 4/4 need to be come with some of a lift and larger tires it already costs more
Looking forward to the next part!
max you guys in redding? looks like shasta lake!
Would love to see you add the rear seat power outlet.
I found a 12v socket behind the big screen in my limited

You really going for that grungy nw look now 😂
Waited for this
i did a much tougher hill with a 3.6L Highlander.
im just curious how long youre growing out your hair and beard?
I had my Limited trd for 2 months and havent got a chance to do any of those. Do you have to be on Low 4x4 to use Crawl controll?
No Maxxidents in this episode!! Lol 👍🏽
Can you use the locker in 4L?
The truck computer will adjust for different octane fuels. No reason to use “premium” unless your vehicle was designed for it.

The e-brake trick also works well in AWD systems when stuck in snow and the Subaru/Audi/etc system is applying power to the wrong wheel.
You should've done it without crawl control too 👍
Newbie question: I thought crawl control was to get you out if your tired is buried.
It can be used that way but it’s also used for controlled accent or decent over obstacles as well
@@Maxx.Powell thank you, thought maybe that was for the previous generation only
Check the bed of the truck for an outlet
How do I get my license for falconry???
so how comfortable was the mattress? lol
It's kind of crazy, the more I use my rooftop tent, the more I enjoy ground tent camping.
17 mpg on a stock brand new truck is bad, when you add 37s and lift it will be 12 mpg.
Damn brother with your bad luck you park on a boat ramp!😂 Normal people camping. 😂😂😂
But that getting a little better mpg does not offset the price for premium lol
I thought the 2022 tundra is 4th gen?
It is. Right? 😂
@@jbw5485 no, that’s how infrequently they upgrade this truck.
I got a 2023 and really dislike all the beeps…

I hate how loud and jurky the crawl control is on the Tacoma only used it twice 1st time to test it and second time to show my friend lol
Did you hear about the recall on the tundras? Apparently the rear diff can separate from the frame 😂😂😳
🤣🤣😂😂 yea it really wasn’t a big deal 🤣🤣🤣🥳
Lmfao that wasn't a hill. Grandma could drive up that hill in her Camry blindfolded.
Lol using 92 instead of 87 is a waste of money if you don’t need to. No benefit
