I was there in the away end....frighteningly packed and a bit scary for a 17 year old and his 15 year old brother....could hardly breathe. The way they treated fans in those days was a disgrace. The home end looks a bit sparse...good old Spurs.
I remember watching this game on TV and that Waddle goal - it was the first time I learned that trick he did before the shot. I also love how they put up player's date of birth on the screen too there with Paul Allen haha. 80's, what great times.
Wow between 5:50 and 6:00m is that Roman Abromavich haha I was at this game, over the tanoy they announced that they were about to play the world premiere of a new pop song,if anybody can say who it is go to ticket office or somewhere and get a prize if your right,so the song played and people were chatting trying to think of pop stars and groups, and later the answer was announced it was....... Hoddle & Waddle Diamond Lights hahaha
Not sour grapes but I thought Tottenham were the best team that season. Did the double over us. After this game they were 14 points behind us with 5 games (!) In hand. Seems fixture congestion caught up with them. How can someone like Clive Allen score 47 goals and not win anything?
That was the best Tottenham team for years but then Hoddle left and it went a bit downhill for them for a while. They peaked again but then Waddle left and despite Gazza joining them, Tottenham's trajectory was downwards for a long time post 1991.
Thanks for uploading - was at this game. Great to see again after so many years...
me too
Wonderful sportsmanship from Bruce @ 18:43
