After seeing a bit of hating on here i thought I'd just chip in with some good will. I found this video helpful. I now have everything that was fitted in my garage working now where an electrician failed. Another case of "Simple when you know how". Now all I need is a break sensor on the garage door, a bell outside and everything will be working nicely. Thank you once again!
Good question. In this wiring configuration there isn't any polarity or label significance for the motion contacts - they just provide a normally closed (NC) circuit for the zones. The 'C' on the motions have no relevance to the 'C' on the panel. Using different colors sometimes makes circuit tracing easier.
I have a DSC1550, the transformer power adapter gets very warm, (turned brown after time). So casually looking at the circuit board, I see a full rectifier in the power section, thinking that the unit can function using a DC adapter. Connecting a variable DC supply set to proper battery charging voltage (13.8vdc), I get a trouble light on the control panel. I wonder why?
I have a quick question. The paradox model before this one without the LED screen. I am only using Zones 1,2 and 3. But Zone 4,5,6,7 and 8 stays illuminated as an open circuit/zone. Gow do I get this off? I have to bypass all those zones just to activate the alarm everytime.
many installers both here in Europe and the U.S. double up alarm wires to comply with the minimum cross sectional diameter of the copper. its accepted because it meets the requirements. Somehow i failed to see your tutorial around here on UA-cam, so i watched his instead, and its quite adequate for diy.
Good afternoon, can I please ask for your help? I have a Ademco Microtech Galaxy 8 C055 alarm, and want to attach a GSM communicator to it. It can work with either NO or NC outputs. I just dont kmow in wich terminals I have to connect the communicator to the alarm, and can´t find any schematics online. Can you help me? Thanks in advance.
Hi. Do the PGM's output a 12v positive when programmed to operate?..or do they complete a dry contact with the common? Please explain how you would utilize a PGM?
a PGM stands for Programable...........it is a programmable output, you can use it to put out voltage, probably not 12 volts, that's all you have from your battery, but you probably have an amp or more there, you can use it with a contact, mostly in normally open circuits on burglar alarm smokes
my alarm system is an all in one home alarm panel but i have an issue. if i disconnect the battery and unplug it there are still capacitors on the panel...how can i wire the siren without shorting it or making any type of damage?
energy in a capacitor dissipates over time and on an alarm system it doesnt stay long enough that you would even have to think about it....... and there is not voltage on the bell output unless the system is in alarm.................... your name says alarm tech11...... I'm guessing your not an alarm tech
my siren does not sound after a smoke related issue,i disconnected the siren after it wud it stop sounding off every 2mns,disconnected the smoke dector ,put the siren back together and could not get the siren to go off, what's the fix it?
firstly you can't use solid core comms cable and "double up" for more current you need to use 0.5 stranded cable. and i really do appreciate the fact that you don't solder any of your joints. i teach installer how to do it correctly and my friend you don't have a clue. keep up the good work.
Can you please help. My keypad suddenly lost connection and nothing is lit up. Control Panel: ESPIRIT 738EX, Keypad: ESPIRIT 626 I would appreciate if you can help me to figure out how to get my keypad working again. Thank you!

how I connect the T, T ( tamper) in the main board, please!!!
At 2:05 why are the connections to the motion sensors reversed? Motion 1's C goes to Z3 while motion 2's C goes to the panels C.

Can i connect the pir sensor in series with a magnet contact to one zone?

Thanks, that's also what i guess, you explain in a very good way.

Check it step by step. Firstly, is power low? If no, disconnect from panel and connect again to try.

Much work to do for hardwired alarm system. And need to select right wire as well, such as 4 in one or just one wire.
