It's not the most interesting knife ever but No doubt this is the best gift knife the world has ever known... and if you want a premium version they have it, i personally think the knife center exclusive is the best way to go. If you're looking for the equivalent in a slip joint the rough ryder apta is ludacrisly good... micarta and vg10 for dirt cheap and excellent walk and talk.
Great review! I see the Penguin as a fun budget knife that has a great blade shape, that you can put in your pocket, and use without worrying too much about it. Then again, I find 'boring' to be fun from time to time LoL. Definitely lots of great user knives in this $50-75 territory these days!

I don’t mind the Penguin. I have 10 in my collection. I EDC a denim micarta version to work each day. It does its job very well.
