I was in a concert yesterday by Wang Li and Wu Wei at Lincoln Center, New York. Unreal, totally beautiful music they both played with these ancient instruments. Wish they both lived here so we could go to their concerts regularly. They're masters.
the circular breathing technique is actually banned in music schools. its extremely harmful to one's lungs. despite being such a difficult technique to master, wang li did it. kudos. bravo.
How is it harmful to ones lungs? I thought it's pretty standard with several instruments, here in Germany commonly used by about every Didgeridoo player.
It's absolutely safe for your body, I use this technic for didgeridoo as you are saying, but Wang Li is a truly master of the circular breathing, I'm not at this point. Actually you can learn it pretty easily, I encourage you to try if you're interested in those type of instruments !
@@damieng1763 doing it on the didge requires much less air, doing circular breathing on a flute is quite harder, and I wouldn't be surprised to know it's actually bad for your health.
