It's not that they enjoy AOT (I mean they probably do) that their using the anime visuals; this song was created FOR aot, it's literally explaining POV of eren & mikasa on Rumbling & Under the tree. Even anime onlies don't understand the meaning of some of the lyrics still
They've known (and really enjoyed) AoT (both manga and anime) very well. And as mad respect for the previous seasons' tracks, they've even put in strings and chorus, while leaving their signature all over both songs.
The lyrics are just top tier. They aren't super cliche but still have affliction to what is happening in the show (either overall or at current time). They aren't just cliche Anime lyrics ("we'll win together" "Lets us find the light" etc etc etc..). my dumb ADHD brain listens to songs 1 million times and gets sick of them but The Rumbling and Under the Tree haven't remotely gotten old to me.
