I never thought that there would ever be a full version of this song. This version hits hard in so many ways. This truly sums up musically Mikasa’s thoughts & feeling towards Erin throughout the series.
The "I'll protect you" screaming is actually supposed to be from Eren from what I understand. It's his answer to the questions Mikasa asks in the song. (All the growl/screamo parts are supposed to be Eren)

Pretty sure the "let me shoulder your sins" part is also from armins pov since that's what he said to eren in his final moments. Its even highlighted in yellow
This song hit so much harder once we saw the ending of this anime. Truly an emotional and beautiful song, while also bringing closure for the anime. SiM delivered in my opinion the greatest closing song for the greatest anime we could've experienced. Seeing you reacting to this the way you did, it really hits you deep down.
It does a great job of adding more emphasis to Mikasa's conviction. That she's mirroring Eren's lines from Rumbling. This in turn is a great and fitting follow up from a prior lyric. "Let me shoulder your sins together". Does a great job at showing, despite the schism, they are still willing to risk death to protect each other. Or, in Mikasa's case, stop Eren from drifting further away into oblivion.
love the dialog between mikasa and eren, eren says im here, theres no need to talk and telling them their free, then mikasa letting him know its enough so he can stop
"I protect you" - Eren finally consummated what his mom said - "Don't always be protected by Mikasa, but you protect her. Be a man." (sorry but I didn't watch the English version, so this is not accurate translation.), although he sought freedom too much in the way that his mom never thought.
FUCK this song hits so hard in the feels knowing AOT is officially over. It's one of those shows that stick with you forever and this song embodied so much of this journey (like you said)

the music is insane, but for us seeking for every second of aot all this last 10 years, especially after last episode, omg hit so hard, very hard, is almost impossible do not cry, ato fans i really love our time before, now and in the future, because this is a master piece and i aways go back under the tree
