I’m visiting the African island country of Mauritius right now. You should consider visiting here. There is beautiful nature, lots of cultural diversity and an interesting history.
As a travellor myself, Tanzania & especially Dar es salaam is most safest country in east Africa. Very cool and friendly people though American English is a problem for most of them
I've lived here for 3 years so far and you are right. Tanzanian's are very chilled people. The crime threat is normal stuff when there are plenty of poor people, but in African terms, people call Tanzania "Africa Lite", and Masaki is Tanzania lite. I've married a Tanzanian and used to work in the bush here too, so I have seen all sides of the country.
I learnt pretty fast to book transportation with Uber or Bolt after a Tuk Tuk guy charged me TZS20,000 for a TZS5000 ride haha Dar is my favorite City too.
When you live here you should try to use trusted bajaj drivers. As the licencing system is loose as hell and the cops give zero shits. Many drivers (especially the local buses) are a menace.
@walkonwalkon My local wife has scars from two accidents in bajaj's (tuk tuks). She puts family kids and herself in trusted ones only. When I was working away in smaller places, the first thing she would do is to work out with ones we would use and get their numbers. Then we could trust them to order dinner for them to pick up for us or anything else we wanted, when away from Dar....if you catch my drift....
Coco beach was the first place we went to after landing. Young brother sang to us with the guitar lol it was cool though! We visited November/December so it wasn’t as hot but we’re use to the heat. Them power cuts ain’t no joke 😂😂 I miss Tanzania a lot!
The power cut and rationing will end next month after large power source being commissioned, they're doing tests that's why you see all this, it's unusual
@@eoinmccourt3504 not true so now go to your search engine, search Tanzania shut down 4 hydropower plants to curb the excess of electricity, blackouts are over now in Tanzania
youre cardiac system must be good u been too high altitude and low , hot and humid weather l hope you drink lots of water and go too a more weather friendly country love youre content
It always that for beginners, and if you're a visitor ask your host or receptionist in your place the rates of different items and services before doing transactions
They should have never built up Coco Beach, for years it was pristine, with Itinerant Vendors having free access, with food stalls there is tendency of permanent structures and devaluation.

I appreciate what you’re doing.

Sorry, but I was robbed in July when I was walking around my hotel after my working day. A man riding a bike, just grabbed my bag. Nobody helped me.
@@OlgaMasinskaja Yes, that happens, especially in quiet parts of Masaki. But it is much safer in Dar than many other places

Yup, they will shoot their shot. I always show them the Uber price (which is low and the driver gets even less) and they’ll usually lower their cost.

I love Dar and Zanzibar both are dope places.
That’s wild! Vietnamese restaurant in Tanzania.
Dar es Salaam is the big city with more than 7 million people. Dar is largest city in Eastern Africa. expect different cultures.

Beautiful city in east Africa and central Africa
4k from where you were to Coco was such a fair price, no one overcharged you
Wanted to say the same. Maybe could have been 2k or 3k, but still very reasonable
Coco beach is crazy when you get dropped off.. the guys there in the parking lot seem geeked up on dope.
Try getting a VPN service, then apply for the visa.
The hottest month here in Dar is from January to December. You're welcome
I'm sad that you didn't stay long in mozambique,we have many things you didn't see ohh😢
how do you know which airbnb has a generator? This is frightening
How do you compare your experience in Tanzania vs in Mozambique ?
