    The setup we all actually have when we watch these videos 😂
    It's like watching a cooking show most other times: you never really gonna cook that, but they make it seem like you can, or you can just have those ingredients lying around. So you keep watching cuz it's always entertaining too 😂

    Very cool setups. I always carry large black trash bags or party table cloths from the dollar store with me so I can block windows. They are small and cheap.

      Yes same here - I always carry large black contractor grade trash bags to block light from windows. They’re super thick and block all the light but are also lightweight and you just tape them to the windows. 👌🏻

    Really liked this mate, would love to see more setups like this! It's great to know that we can still get cinematic results, even if we don't have all the gear you do.

    the broke cinematographers mindset! thats the way to go💪🏼 i think once you get to a certain level ya tend to forget, that at the beginning when we had little to no means, we still made it work somehow.

    Hi Brady
    hello from Seattle, I love your work there are lots of people show how to set up the light I don’t know how to explain I want to say you just have a perfect the mood the tone the amount the smoothness.
    I have a question before I jump into this project. I am building an 8x8x1.5ft ceiling soft box there are two speakers both sit side by side 2-3ft apart and look straight to the camera there are 3 cameras. I want to create a super smooth light comes from the top the studio ceiling. The ceiling is about 9.5ft high. The background is mid gray about 8ft from the speakers I will block the light as much as possible to keep the background not too bright I will put 4x200w Amaran lights inside so it will be 800w. (I still have no idea how to mount the light in the soft box yet). I just want to make sure the light is large enough to avoid too much shadow under the nose eyes and chin. Do you think 8x8ft is enough the avoid those shadow? Or is it too large and make everything looks flat? Or do you have any suggestion ?

    Hey Brady, what’s better… one light and soft box (300c or similar), or two or three LED light panels?

    My only question is how do you expose for the outside light while having enough power in the 300c to light your subject because I have a 300x and it’s not powerful enough when I’m at 12800 iso

    • @italianinoslo
      @italianinoslo 10 місяців тому

      the answer is in your question, 12800 iso requires you to have a higher f stop . Try using lower iso settings and let the window be slightly brighter, it’ll be fine :)
