I find it poetic that Davros is more frustrated at their failure than the fact of them not recognizing his intended position. 10/10 father.

BTW, for anyone wondering why Davros is aware of the concept of a returns policy, it’s most likely due to the events of two stories that took place before this scene. In _Davros_ (2003), he was revived by a corporation after the events of _Resurrection of the Daleks_ (1984) and recruited by them as a scientist. He took the opportunity to familiarise himself with capitalism.
In the next story (chronologically), _Revelation of the Daleks_ (1985), Davros took over a massive funeral home and sold its contents to the galaxy as food, presumably to pay for his efforts to create a new race of loyal Daleks. He didn’t tell his customers what they were eating; he stated that it would result in ‘consumer resistance’.

I , Davros is an amazing audio. Re listen to it many many times. Best death of Magratine in the radiation chamber is the best death ever.
Every death in this story is so disturbing in such different ways.
