Great video as always. When stacking, I would suggest aligning all the layers with the bottom one. Otherwise you may compound the errors made in the other layers.

Great demonstration with what one can do with a Dob Newtonian and a phone camera. But also, I sometimes use my SkyWatcher 200p with my Canon DSLR to take photos. You can actually get your camera to focus by removing the 1.25 adapter from the focuser and attaching the T-ring. I used this method many times and I was able to get the camera to focus easily.

Hey nico! I suggest you to add a motor to the barn door tracker
it'll be excellent for dslr astrophotographers
and it'll also make out fir a great video

Even though I don't have Photoshop myself I still found this video useful for myself for my future pictures from my iPhone.
I already have some pictures but not mounted on to the telescope so it will be very exciting how great the photos will be once I'll be able to mount it and take photos from there and then edit the pictures!
Great video, really liked it and really helpful! :D

Sequator does very well with smartphone photo stacking when you use the partial sky feature and only highlight the eye piece area.

I use a celestron digital camera adapter and put my Canon on it using an eyepiece. Great for video and stacking, plus it has zoom, great for multiple star systems and an 82 degree fov eyepiece. I can use my 102 triplet at high power for some objects. I get a lot of great seeing nights in the Winter here in the desert.

The Turing adapter looks nice. I wish they had it for androids but I don’t I’d be willing to spend $130 for it. I have a heck of a time using my current adapter,I can never get my camera to line up with the camera. I feel like the phone is always switching the camera on me and sometimes the adapter is against the buttons on the phone. Somehow I was able to capture the Orion nebula on my phone, I was stoked! It was a little blurry since I was holding the phone and it was a 2-3 second exposure.

My only complaint with the stacking through the eyepiece: I tried doing "Earthshine" stacking through the eyepiece and you have to reeeeeeeeally make sure the moon (any object) stays as centered in the eyepiece as possible. There is distortion throughout the entire eyepiece. There is much less distortion through the center and this is just a side effect with reflector telescopes

You can do the same with your android.
Go to camera and choose 1 second exposure and iso 3200
It depends on your phone if it does not have an exposure setting then your phone may not be capable of doing it

An old DSLR that is technically way cheaper than an I phone can do a way better job. A person can buy an astro modified canon rebel T2i on the very cheap and achieve great results. If I did this with an I phone it would leave me wanting more and chasing the better quality. Clear skies.
