Thrall control tips for PC players. Adjust your thralls behavior depending where you are going. Guard me is a good idea when selectively going through Sepemeru looking for named crafters, attack all could lead to a bad time if you are under geared or a dead named thrall. You can direct a thrall to attack a target or move near an enemy to gain its attention. By pressing E once the thrall will go to where or what your target reticle is looking at. If you accidentally target an enemy you can press E twice quickly and the thrall will stop and stand in place, it will even stop attacking. Great for when you have a very strong thrall and find a rare named thrall you want to befriend. You can then swap your thralls weapon for a truncheon and direct them to attack again. If your thrall is getting beat up or you don't want them to attack anymore or to stop where they are and do nothing you can press E three times quickly and your thrall will stop what they are doing and return to you, their behavior will reactivate to what you have it set as upon reaching you. I do not recall seeing these control tips anywhere and I learned them by playing. Cheers!

I really appreciate how clearly you speak in this video and what you're doing on screen is pertinent to what you're explaining at the time you are explaining it.
With regard to building pathways between different buildings in your base build. The pathways do not need to remain intact after the remote building is started, both will still be linked to the same decay timer. This is also not distance limited, so if you build, for example, a fishing shack down on the river a distance from your base (or even a second base on the other side of the map) they are linked and both are on the same decay timer so you only need to update one of them to update all of them (actually they are considered one build). I use pillars and ceiling tiles to build this "roadway" between an already existing linked build location to the location I want to do a new build in. You do not need to have this as a continuous "roadway" you can pick up the pillars and ceiling tiles behind and replace them in front of your direction of travel. Just make sure you do not remove the most advanced pillar that is in contact with the ground or it's start over time. Once you reach the new build location connect the first foundation of the build to the "roadway", you can then remove the "roadway" completely and your off and running.

In Exiled Lands for me it's always Set because Set allows you to make a sandstorm mask (Set Mask) at level 20 rather than level 30. Sandstorms can be a major headache early in the game on the southern half of the map.
Amen. (lol) I've always chosen Mitra because I'm a soft-heart, but in terms of actual game play, Set has been my better match and I would never worked that out if it wasn't for dedicated content-creators and users on UA-cam. Seriously.
@@kryw10 Yep and even though the poison arrows do little damage. ITs the actual poison effect itself is what's useful especially since it stacks the more you shoot the enemy with it
kinda perk tip but hard worked reduces how many swings it takes to break something like a tree/rock which essentially doubles your tool durability. it isn't technically doubling your resources but it is by giving the double durability.
As a note, a base along noob river does not prevent you from getting purges. A friend and I had a base on one of the islands in that river and it would still get purges, so this isn't accurate.
I just wish one feature would come to Conan - saving existing Attributes [and maybe Feats too] build to a potion. So before battle you could switch to combat setup while after that to Encumbrance build
It's a weird mechanic but maybe makes sense, since retalent time has to be factored in. However it's still sort of a pain to retalent so much, so they should either commit to the "skill setup" style of progression OR make it so that you only have to retalent rarely. I don't think having a progress period (where you drink the potion and have to wait for the new skills to apply) would make it any better either, so yeah, just crafting the potion should be enough.
At least give us potion to reset ONE attribute/skill point. Yellow lotus could have that mechanic because its cheap and they could introduce more expensive variant for reseting all points.
@@DmytroBogdan I'm not even sure if I agree with the "reset your talent for whatever you'll be doing for the next hour or so" approach It's mostly just personal taste and this way solo-play is more viable. But I still don't feel like doing all the hassle.
Not necessarily you can find a pve server that's not built in or populated. Play solo there and maybe you get your friends to buy the game or even in game people to coop with. Plus pve cant steal, kill, or destroy each others person or things
You can skip iron, steal and make hardened steel. If your not in a hurry you can even use stone tools every one seems to skip the fact you don't have to upgrade tier harvesting equipment. Its not like minecraft wear you need better equipment. They just give you more from each rock.
mmm the way you put it is not entirely true. Stone tools yield 6, iron 8, and steel 10. Advanced kits add 1, 2, or 3 to the tool. Higher tier tools yield 12, 14, and 16. Second, you have to buy the previous tools to get the higher tools and be able to repair them. If you are harvesting any amount of resources, you need the ability to repair your tools. Stone tools do not include a sickle either.
I like learning in solo,so i can be self reliant, i do miss playing with others at times is it hard to find a sever that wont just disappear? I would like to play on pvp some day, when i can survive, long enough to enjoy the game.
The best way to do that is have your own server and invite peeps. You might want to check different YTers and see if they have community servers for Conan and different games. Eventually you will find people to hang with.
One tip. if you are running from a boss and you have a thrall/pet, do not run into the water. Your thrall/pet will die. You can run away from bosses, but your pet/thrall will not go into the water with you, they will wait at the bank until you cross and the boss will kill them, if you are running and telling them to move ahead of you they will not die.
resource cull and call corpse!! Use the spell few times, get like 1000% over encumbered, remove bracelet, go to summoning circle and teleport tour corpse & resources in it to you.. its handy in places where there are many, many, many nodes in a smaller radius..
I tried playing this game yesterday online for the first time I joined a server that had only 60 ping and when I was trying to fight monsters they were skipping around. It was crazy. Is it always like that cuz it felt unplayable?
How about some tips on how to run the game without it crashing on start up? i used to be a regular player but stopped for about a year, then downloaded the new updates and tried to play. Well after the intro and and the actual game starts i get about 1 second of gameplay then it abruptly quits and gives me a UE4 fatel error and I cannot play anymore. Any tips? I tried some of the suggestions online like updating the GPU driver and so on and so forth. yeah so it took like 6-7 hours downloading the updates and sucks because it don't work now.
the mod allows up to 4, if I recollect correctly. If you want a battle, you can use the sys admin panel in single player mode (or find a someone with a server to do this, as its sys admin) and spawn in an array of thralls for a fight. Dankuj has a YT channel and cinematically creates these battles, which are great fun to watch. He uses just the sys admin panel for his productions.

Went from level 46 to 60 in about 1 hour and 30 minutes ish. Pretty dull but just watch a show or something while you do it. Maybe it's cheesy but Ive also found great humor in filling the walls of my base with hundreds of fish trophies
Stam glitch was fixed long time ago. I just started playing again this week for the first time since 2019 and I gotta say I'm enjoying the game much more. It feels like its been made much easier to grind and build up. Theres also now Tier 3 crafting tables and furnaces with 2 options for each, one that uses less resources to craft, and one that speeds up crafting, which makes the end game grind SOOOO much faster. Im on PS5 so no issues with hackers but I'm assuming PC may have some issues
If you want to git gud at building, use your solo game to practice and design. You can give yourself admin rights and build much faster and without gathering materials. You can also fly and build, which is handy for numerous reasons.
agreed, use single player and learn what the sys admin panel can do for you. Its their for a reason, like if something breaks you might be able to replace it or fix it.

In Exiled Lands for me it's always Set because Set allows you to make a sandstorm mask (Set Mask) at level 20 rather than level 30. Sandstorms can be a major headache early in the game on the southern half of the map.
@@brucetucker4847 I agree and especially those arrows too. They give actual poison until the "poison arrows" that is made later into the game
Amen. (lol)
I've always chosen Mitra because I'm a soft-heart, but in terms of actual game play, Set has been my better match and I would never worked that out if it wasn't for dedicated content-creators and users on UA-cam.
I really like the thaumaturgy bench, you can use legendary gear and still look cool 🤘🏻
As a note, a base along noob river does not prevent you from getting purges. A friend and I had a base on one of the islands in that river and it would still get purges, so this isn't accurate.
Crom approves this video.
I just wish one feature would come to Conan - saving existing Attributes [and maybe Feats too] build to a potion. So before battle you could switch to combat setup while after that to Encumbrance build
I want something else lol. I wanna be able to put thralls on the instruments and force them to play
@@DmytroBogdan I'm not even sure if I agree with the "reset your talent for whatever you'll be doing for the next hour or so" approach
It's mostly just personal taste and this way solo-play is more viable. But I still don't feel like doing all the hassle.
@@Limrasson sometimes I just accidentally double click on a skill due to server lag. Just for that matter.
I'm looking forward to trying this game!
Do you keep the feat points you got from the fragments of power if you use a reset potion?
Yes you do.
Thanks for making this video❤️
Thanks for the decay warning. If I buy this game, it has to be for solo play. Not a good system, imo, but I understand the reasoning.
Not necessarily you can find a pve server that's not built in or populated. Play solo there and maybe you get your friends to buy the game or even in game people to coop with. Plus pve cant steal, kill, or destroy each others person or things
Awesome video and very informative. Is there any video to see your ingame settings ? It looks very clean
Appreciate it and have a wonderful day
Wak where did the accuracy and survival attributes come from? I play on console and i don't have those
Whats the armor set his character has?
Hope to get back in soon, been without a PC for over 9months now
I know the feeling.
If you have used a few fragments of power to gain attribute points and decide you need to reset attributes, do you get those points back as well?
You do not lose the points gained from fragments of power.
You mean feat pts
@@Bubbles99718 Yes I do 🤦♂️🤣
@@wak4863 thanks 👍
For console players if u change server settings. Will it affect achievements?
No
How do you hide DLC's that you don't own from the Feats screen?
you cant. they need to add on the work/crafting benches has mats for drop down menu selection instead of seeing everything
10 months later is the pickup chest before upgrading foundation still in the game?
One tip i have used a lot, if u want a ton of free loot, is when finding straying thralls, use a palisade and place Them as close as possible.
So many helpful tips. 🎉
One tip. if you are running from a boss and you have a thrall/pet, do not run into the water. Your thrall/pet will die. You can run away from bosses, but your pet/thrall will not go into the water with you, they will wait at the bank until you cross and the boss will kill them, if you are running and telling them to move ahead of you they will not die.
Thanks for a good well made video.
Is there a way to spawn in Conan's outfit?
there was a pre order royal armor and matching sword. You can get a bunch of different looks from DLCs and dyeing armors. I hope that helped!
Out of curiosity, what armor are you using in this?
Here is a tip for harvesting max out encumbrance and put 3 bubbles into survival, you don’t get encumbered and you harvest quicker
resource cull and call corpse!!
Use the spell few times, get like 1000% over encumbered, remove bracelet, go to summoning circle and teleport tour corpse & resources in it to you.. its handy in places where there are many, many, many nodes in a smaller radius..
What's that armor called 00:01
What armor do you use?
Is there Any video out there what tells you how to get or make dragon powder for explosives in the Isle of Siptah?
You would make it by following the same feat path as on exiled lands learn explosives. There are some enemies from surges that drop it also.
@@wak4863 don't you have a video on making explosives? Or did the Secretariat of Gameland Security make you take it down? 😁😆😅🤣😂😵💫😨😱💀
#1 Conan approved tip: Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women
can you find out what wolfstorm does please its an ability on a sword the wolf boss drops in the wolf dungon on isle of siptah
how do you make your action bar that nice and small?
New player here: I wanted to ask how many thralls can you have following you at one given time?
One at a time plus your horse. Unless you are using a mod.
the mod allows up to 4, if I recollect correctly.
Just want say I watch your content as soon as a new vid comes out. I have a question.. what armor is your character wearing (almost always). Let me know the name of the legs and chest pls and thanks
Thank you for the great guides man and thank you for the tips. I recently redownloaded Conan after watching your videos on Conan. However I've had this bug where the fire sound effect keeps playing from any fire source even when the fire is out. I have no idea how to turn this sound effect off and it has become so obnoxious because all the fire sounds stack together. I can't find any help anywhere so.. Was wondering if you've come across such a bug and if there is a fix for it
verify the integrity of the game files
how you see buff times and how can i do small buff names like yours in number 1
It’s a mod. Called Hosavs UI mod.
Every time I think Ive pulled myself away from this game, wak makes a video and pulls me right back in.
Lol now the only question is if that is a good thing.
It's only a tip video...
You're better off leaving. You'll see next week when you leave again for 7 days.
@@AllergicFungus is that 7 days . . to die? 😁😆😅😂
me and my friend accidently builded in purge free zone we were waiting for that dam purge doesnt want to come xd
Can you turn of tethering on th ps for Conan? I want to create a private server but the host barier is a problem
You cannot. You can extend the length but not turn it off completely.
@@wak4863 is this a question about play station?
If Wak didn't have his Siptah build here, can anyone suggest what would be the closest build in Exiled Lands?
There isn't one that even comes close. IDK what I would use, Maybe I'd be back to Heavy wearing Champion or something.
what you do is follow Wak's video about Siptah and then do a character transfer to a Exiled Lands map.
another tip for those that dont know, almost anywhere you go take a thrall follower with you 95% of the time you wont die
Yo wak dude, can you update the named thrall locations for Siptah, and to where farm alchemical base, thanks
Regarding the first tip on the video, I'd say a better tip would be "Don't take on world bosses on your own, bring a fighter thrall or 2 along" 😂😂
Shoebills and monkeys has always been a great way to level up
Or if you dont mind an AFK grind, get a bunch of unsavory fish and shaped wood and make hundreds of fish trophys. Get 2 dismantling benches next to you, load the fish trophies into it, they give you the shaped wood and fish trophy back, rinse and repeat. Went from level 46 to 60 in about 1 hour and 30 minutes ish. Pretty dull but just watch a show or something while you do it. Maybe it's cheesy but Ive also found great humor in filling the walls of my base with hundreds of fish trophies
How does he get those buffs on the top left

I would Love to play this game again but just the idea of dealing with server glitches like the stamina ones completly ruins my desire to start over
Stam glitch was fixed long time ago.
I gave up on the server game. How do you get to do a solo game mode?
Just press play game and pick a map.
What light armor is that? DLC or mod?
DLC Siptah gear.
@@wak4863 Thx, need to get that DLC
I've been purged multiple times in the "no purge area" they were hyenas but still lol
Solo game or server? How long ago?
@@wak4863 it was before siptah was released so not recent at all and on an unofficial server
@@nardi_7740 I think the No Fly Zone was recently established because the Sobek Cultists were wiping out all the bases.

Is this game active anymore in the pvp community?
Yes, although Wak mostly covers PvE, there is still a quite active PvP community.
are you playing with mods?
Thanks for this video! My girlfriend and I are stepping away from Project Zomboid to start playing this and it provided great tips that I can share with her. This also didn't spoil anything about the game for us starting out. Thanks again @wak4863!
Hey bro, you looking for a third player. I'm on PC.
You forgot an important tip. Get emotes and dance. Especially after murdering an awful boss. Dance over his corpse. 🤣
the haka is pretty good to demonstrate your warlike nature too. 😁
Try not to build in starmetal locations. I have been bombed numerous times and lost good thralls from starmetal hitting my bases.
I see you did the ole "will this damage me? fuck it we'll find out I guess" technique. Don't worry many do that lmao
Tip 11 build a base big enough for all 50 workbenches
I just want a proper next gen patch for my ps5
Tip number 9 be like: when you level up you level up
*talk about The Purge*
Me:*start sweating*
*Explains you shouldn't be attacked and the area I'm built*
Me: *checks Purge meter again*
*It'll still fill up, just won't attack your base*
Should have added for beginners in the title
How did UA-cam know I was re-download the game
I beat every body I did this without spending any attribute points .
I did this naked . But with a well equipped thrall.
That's a build .
But with all my attributes spent I still get my azz handed to my by other players .
There are some wicked players on the game .
Don't make me reinstall this WAK !! LOL
Had a purge yesterday. 2nd wave someone got stuck somewhere, I couldn't find them so the timer simply ran out. Again.
I want to have purges so this crap is gonna be pushing me out.
5 year old game that has consistent, and stupid glitches. Never experienced so many in a game, ever.
This, meshing problems, hp not displaying, a couple of others. Unreal
It's a whole team working the game too. Doesn't feel like it, does it?
Sean, I could not agree with you more. I feel like college freshmen are in charge of game development. That said, it is still a great game! What you need is some custom purges, like Dankuj sets up (sys admin panel alone).
@@rembrandtshadows Yeah it is a great game. Absolutely love it that's why these glitches are so annoying cause they are the kind of stuff that gets worked out in the 1st few months of a games release.
In fact it's in my top 3 fave games of all time
Anyone else feel personally attacked by tip number 1 🤣🤣
So much has changed.
I wish I could get 320 attribute points 😔
You're using siptah armor on the old exiles map, If you are talking about new players they might not have the siptah gear. An when you showed the stats your stats were really high with the end game siptah gear. Little misleading for the old exiles map because that gear cannot be found on old exiles.
Funcom is sinking the Conan ship quick soon the pvp in this game will be dead since you can basically get banned for stacking just about anything on official server's
yeah but PK is different from PvE, different sort of game. PK anything has been a mess for decades.
@@rembrandtshadows I rocked solo official pvp for over a year straight when it came out fence foundation stacking has been in the game since launch and was also complained about couple year's back and Funcom said it was part of the build mechanics and was not a bannable offense but now they say it is and ban people plus the new map was blah you can tell they lost interest in the game with the second map no real creativity whatsoever had no thrall camp's when launched couldn't build in the middle of the map stall has no fast travel means like the first map resources are so easy to get the lockers are a rinse and repeat to get all the op weapons and armor you want shame really I liked the game but to me it is a dead game now
@@ZERO-th6dd well RIP for you . . . I agree with lots of what you said, but its what you make out of it and PK is a strategy of exploits. Everything you described is still a PK thing. Hosav has done some really marvelous things with EEWA but thats PVE/C and not your bag.
