Steeping a good cup of Casio is a lovely, time tested, start to the day. But does it synchronize better in the glass, Stanley mug or Snow Peak cup? Time for a complications test!
Omg, I am so glad you reviewed this watch! I've worn it and loved it for years, and it's so cool to hear you explain what's so good about it. Thanks for the great video; keep it up!
I have a Seiko diver watch model 7002-7009. I’ve had it since 1991. It’s been around the world with me and back. It’s an automatic so there’s no battery replacement to worry about. I’ve only had to replace the band several times over the years. It still works and I still wear it.
The Apple Watch I used to have did a bazillion things. I tried really hard to like it but eventually it went back to Apple. My F-105W is all I need in exactly the ways you describe here (I chose it over the F-91W mostly because the electroluminescent display is blue; I'm shallow :)
My encounter with cheap Casios way back in the 80s is what kept me from ever being a "watch guy." The sheer good-enough-ness of these with the mic-drop value/quality ratio has always just appealed to me. And if it gets ripped off of your wrist in the middle of combat-posing-as-backyard-football (this happened), well, you're out just a few bucks, as you point out.
I’ve started putting my graveyard of watch faces (which keep on ticking perfectly) to use with some custom 3D printed mounts. They pivot and have two little feet to put them on tabletops. Kinda nice to have them doing their job again but in a new way.
Looks like a great watch. I have been wearing an apple watch since 2018 so im not sure if its worth going back to these non tech watches, why do you choose this over others?
I can see where it would be hard to go from the accessibility that comes along with an Apple Watch to something analog. Honestly it’s the battery life and the idea that I don’t ever really take it off which makes to easy to have. Not sure if I’ll be able to sway you from the apple, but could be a fairly inexpensive experiment if you’re looking to unplug a bit but still function in a world that requires deadlines.

Oh dang, I do love a blue display. You have me thinking I need another one now!

Don’t look now, but you sound a lot like a “watch guy.”
