I'm in S.Carolina USA........and almost ready to sell my Aston DB7 so I can purchase a fiberglass kit here with frame of a long nose D-Type. Settling for my 2nd favorite car since there aren't any really good DB5 Aston kits available. Your video really inspired me to get the ball rolling on my D type project. My rolling D-Type without engine/interior and a few other items will cost me around $34K USD. I figure I can finish it out and have a nice replica within a year by doing much of the work myself. Keep up the fantastic work and blessings from us to you!! Greg and Mira
I'm glad if this has inspired you! I'm also planning on challenging myself to do all the work in house and learning some new skills along the way. I hope the videos will keep inspiring you and if you have any questions or suggestions please let me know. Btw the next video might be bit of a shocker 😉
Amazing work, it really makes a big difference and you make it look so easy (when it's not). A testament to your craftsmanship! I also think you should make the whole shell in alu, but know how much extra work that would be.
@@BroughBuilt Ja, I have seen your work and I have no doubt you are skilled enough to do it, or figure out the best way to do it (boer maak 'n plan) but the extra time and cost it will add to the project wont be worth it if the owner wants to paint the car.
The ali work you have done is great you could make the whole thing out of ali....also i stand by my suggestion paint the messerschmitt like a fighter plane!
Hi I have the same question. I also wonder if you aneal the aluminium inbetween shaping? I couldn't see thar in any of your great metal shaping videos. Thanks for sharing - wonderful work! Martin
Blue with white!
I think you should do all the body in aluminium 👍👍👍👍👍

Amazing skills, I am really impressed by your talent.
If I win the lottery. I am flying down there and we are building a Ferrari 330 P4! Haha. Awesome projects on your channel as always.
Oof! Now that is a beautiful car. Who knows, maybe some day. Thanks for your kind feedback once again!

Thanks! I think you're gonna like the next video then🤫
@@BroughBuilt Can't wait :D
Looks hot! Like building a spitfire 🔥
It's looking really nice. It would be awesome if you made all of the body out of aluminium, but thats so much extra time and money.
I would absolutely love the challenge! I just need to convince the owner his car won't be finished on the estimated deadline😜

Thanks for the vote of confidence!
Wow!

I like you suggestion on the Messerschmitt. And there might be some awesome news as far as ali goes on the way🤫
metallic emerald green💯💯
For the Messerschmitt, I would have assumed some version of military camouflage....
Good decision.
Jussie boet - I have a pneumatic rivit gun....
Now that looks top notch Danie 💪🏼
Welgedaan 😁
Waar koop jy jou aluminium plaat as ek mag vra en lewer hulle af ook ?
Yes! Ek kry deesdae by NDE steel en hulle lewer ook af
@@BroughBuilt awesome baie dankie Danie 👌🏽😁
Geen probleem. Laat weet wat jy beplan🤔
@@BroughBuilt wil n heat shield maak vir die ouer Polo GTI’s 😎
Nice!
What type and thickness of aluminum are you using?
Hi I have the same question. I also wonder if you aneal the aluminium inbetween shaping? I couldn't see thar in any of your great metal shaping videos. Thanks for sharing - wonderful work! Martin
I use 1.25mm . I have tried annealing in the past and even though the material does work harden I found it makes little difference for me
@@BroughBuilt Is it aluminium 3003 you work with? Thanks! Martin
Hey can you tell me the height of your car from ground to bonnet
Hi. The height from ground to where the Bonnet and body meet is 787mm. According to my measurements 😁
@@BroughBuilt till that point from where the wind screen starts
@@BroughBuilt you tell me this measurement after putting your car body on the chasis
Pragtig gedoen!
Dankie Wian!
Here is another vote for red on white on the other car
