So you can easily understand my total student life was in former Pakistan and in those days we listened song on Radio later PTV , films and occasionally visited west Pakistani Singers. Ahmed. Rushdi even sang in Comilla stadium.we loved to listen Ahmad Rusdi,Masud Rana, Mehdi Hasan, Munir Hussain, salim Reza, Nurjahan ,Runalaila, shamim Ara Mala,Iqbal Banu,and others. I was a physicist ,my observation is that Runs Laila hampered much her carrier as she had to leave present Pakistan. so far I know for Nurjahan.Malika Tarrannum was going to loss her monopoly for Runa Laila.So she took the chance to drag out Runalaila.. This is Muslim character But MD Rafi, Yusuf khan were welcomed by Hindus by India. All problem of former and present Pakistan is deep rooted to anti Islamic practice, violation of Qur'an..1971 was the best example. Do you believe, where mere presence of military was enough there they started indiscriminate killing, rapimg looting burning of Houses in 1971.here.?

Runa is a living legend.She went to same college in Dhaka where my elder sister attended before the 1971 war.We all moved to west Pakistan and so did she.She worked very hard to get recognition where there were personality like noor jehan ,mala and naseem begum to name a few.She sang head to head with madam and got fair share .She was no threat and got songs which suited her and attracted younger generation.Madam was loud like in umrao jaan she got to sing all song except one.Anjuman collection was super hit.She visited Dallas couple of years ago in a houseful show and made the crowd very happy.i will always respect her contribution.m to Pakistan movie industry for over 25 yrs.I loved her earlier song from hum dono picturised on deeba .unki nazario se mila paigham.
