i need a 10 hour version of you playing this, it's so relaxing. Just travelling around on unknown planets, discovering new stuff and just generally being away from earth is awesome. I love space, too bad i won't be around when we finally get to explore other galaxies..

The Warpdrive mod is my favorite. Build custom star-trek style ships, power them with any power mod then control them with actual programmable computers to do whatever you want. And you can make dimensions from other mods become "planets" that you can fly to using the hyperspace jump drive. Complete with phasers, cloaking system, modular shields, mining lasers and transporters.
lol i love warpdrive, but there is one problem that affects all lower-end PCs like mine; the space dimension, there is just too many asteroids, they load and don't stop, fps gets lower and lower, if there would be say, 1/10th of the amount of asteroids that spawn in.. earth's gravity field? then low end PCs could actually handle the mod well.

I love these little modpack videos as its always a nice little thing to boot up in a minute to play instead of waiting 20 minutes for a laggy mess i might not even like.
Probably most interesting part of minecraft, space mods.
It would be really interesting to see you play through one of these conversions, maybe through a poll? I don't know, it would be cool to see you do a "Let's Play" of one of these.
*I understand why Galacticraft made Saturn and Jupiter the way they look right now because of course its damn Minecraft, all about blocks and pixels. But I would have hoped for a more detailed atmospheric visual of the planets in the sky to gaze upon. That's something that every space game grabs me in by, the blooding view.*

Galacticraft A-side the warp speed mod is a more star trek feel to a space Minecraft game. It's not so user friendly but completing something like a super warp drive feels very rewarding as you can developed techniques yourself.

If you're a fan of the show "The 100" like me, then this is amazing! I just love watching this video and dreaming about someday doing this myself. The 100 has a lot of spcae and planets involved in it which is why this is amazing!

If you're going to install galacticraft, I would recommend the research add-on. That makes the process of reaching a planet take longer but feel more rewarding.
SGCraft is one I like to add on my space themed worlds. It adds the Stargate from Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis. It's really nice because it basically let's you set up multiple Gates on different planets and you can dial up whichever ones you want for easy access.
The general population: "Minecraft is a really simple, block building game"
Minecraft modders: "Well yes, but no"
Even without mods you can't really say it's just a simple block building game. It's an ignorant statement.
you should try advanced rocketry, it has space stations and warp drives and stuff
It does add Warp Drives but Galacticraft also adds space stations. AR lets you build your own ship, but Galacticraft is more simple. AR is more sandboxish, while Galacticraft focuses on progression and boss fights. I always use them both while making sure Galacticraft’s oxygen system is prioritized. The main reason I prefer Galacticraft is because you can look up addon mods easily. That’s not the case with AR. Most of the time, you have to make your own, which is too time-consuming imo
Bruh I remember watching DanTDM mod showcase Galacticraft as a child, its so nostalgic
I would also include Crayfish Furniture and bibliocraft, so you can make your space bases homier, as well as flanz, to make fighting space monsters cooler, and Minecraft comes alive, to make traveling the stars a little less lonely.

Why is no one talking about the warp drive mod?
It uses every dimension (even modded) and turn it into actual planets you can travel to.
And with travelling i’m not talking about fast travelling like in galacticraft, you actually travel through space.
Enemy npc ships could attack you in space too.
But the most important thing: you can build your own ship, not in a crafting table way, no, you place actual blocks and can get as creative as you want!
I haven’t even watched this yet and I know galactic craft is going to be in it.

Those mods are AWESOME! Although, I wish someday Mojang adds a 'Space Update', it would be the best update, in my opinion.
It will be hard to do it. Just imagine the nether update, multiplied many times
My honest opinion on what mods to use:
GalactiCraft (for obvious reasons)
MatterOverdrive (very nice ship blocks, it's own blackhole energy generator, weapons, class of android enemies and matter:item conversion systems.)
AdvancedRocketry (allows you to go to space, different planets, build your own giant ships in any shape you want, has it's own spacesuit and pressurization system, many other things like muiltiblock machinery and laser drills, space elevators. This mod on top of GLcraft can overhaul almost anything you need)
Misc mods that work really well with space mods:
Mekanism (Ox and H generation as well as many other things)
EnvironmentalTech (laser drills that allow you to mine when installed inside your giant AdvR ships)
Applied energistics or Refined Storage for item logistics
Extreme Reactors and NuclearCraft for power
Forestry for creating plant matter inside your ships
RfTools for creating whole new dimensions that you can visit if you want to mine on totally new planets that you designed yourself without abandoning your main base
TechReborn for... tech stuff
ThermalDynamics and ThermalExpansion for resource logistics
ActuallyAdditions for new useful machines
Avaritia so that you can use up all those resources you can find inside custom dimensions.

Lord of The Rings mod, or if you don't mind playing on REALLY old versions of the game: Tale of Kingdoms/Kingship (forgotten classic of the old days)
The twilight dimension mod and literally the entire hexit modpack.
Often overlooked is Advanced Rocketry. Galactic travel is built in via warp drive. And there is provision to add your own star systems with planets and moons. No addons needed.
It’s been exactly one year since this video released. But it never gets old

Oh, you should try Advanced Rocketry. Basically it's galacticraft but much more complex and you can freely build your rocket and then assemble it
I didn't even watch the vid for now but I'm sure im not the only one who thinks that it's weird that he talked about space exploration in mc without talking about Futurepack and Warpdrive and the good ol' starminer.
You should get Advanced Rocketry too, it takes a little bit of understanding and redstone knowledge to use it but you can actually build your own rockets and launch them with this mod!
I’m also going to download Mystcraft or dimensional doors solely because traveling with a spaceship is painful so teleporting between universes is helpful
