@@johnhorner1969John's arms are anything but normal lol. His thumb/hand felt insane when he had just started his comeback against Dmitry kachan! I bet his hand has developed even further due to his activity the last two years. His proportions are what make him look normal. Huge head, wide shoulders, long forearm, all of which make him look fairly fit on camera.
It's always the same , legends of all sports are too much humblea

Alexey will quit if he loses.
Alexey cannot compete with the top guys without roiding, he needs to do that to be on par, and he has said he isn't willing to do that.

No he is not. He is a respectfull humble person. He is proberbly the most pure person on stage. Regardless of winning or losing, he has the greatest powerhouse of a body. He has no concerns. You could listen to him. You mirror your own insecurities on him. It isn't him. It's the insecure you.

I think John has a hard time countering a good flop press do to his shoulder problems. But beating Johns hand is no easy feat and that's why I think Alexey might be at a stylistic disadvantage

After seeing both guys my $ is on John. John looks healthier. If his thumb is good, he’s got it. Alexey’s arm maybe strong but stability on the table may not be there.

Alexey looks well stronger than vs Tim, but man, John is big now. He has to be his strongest ever from the shoulder down. I thought Alexey would take it, but seeing them both, I have since reconsidered.
John´s got to be somewhat of a favourite, perhaps he will take Alexey clean in all of the rounds. I really have to think that John atleast looks stronger, even if the minutes of his condition might still have some asterisks, like his thumb. IMO John is still beyond all the 105 guys, bar maybe the"walking forearm" version of Devon.
Is this 8-10 months too soon for Alexey to try John, or just 3? There probably isn´t that much between them, but John might make it look easy, if he holds up.
If he really holds him and cracks him, Alexey is probably toast. The hand and pronation will decide, and John is still the very top. If John takes the first piece, it might be over for Alexey since after the first go, unless Alexey can get the shoulder in, and has the endurance to last.
I agree, being active is key, even if John admitted he has lost recent matches but learned from them. I'm curious to see John's ceiling
Alexey pulled the top guys in practice and beating them. How is it 2 early? Check who he pulls in his videos john would loose to all of them😂
@@dvr1337 They let him gain ground, and allow for toproll while holding him. He was getting stronger fast,but he had nothing for Dadikyan fresh for fresh. How is that beating them.
John for sure has a great chance of beating Dadikyan, so atlesast one.
If he stays on this path, he would crush Dadikyan if they could meet at 105-110. Maybe even at 115. John is his strongest rn, except for the shoulder, and Alexey´s pronation is, as far as the top guys, and their years of banging rotation, suspect. he doesn´t have the cup or the rest he had back then.
Voevoda was a beast beyond anyone then, and the guys weren´t that big on pronation until post 2005, but a small John was at the top.
Guys like a younger Osmanli were at the top, and a fresh out of HighSchool Pushkar was giving him a match back then.
Semerenko was also a prominent puller that would get shat on by 90 kg guys of today, perhaps even the best 75, atleast if not fresh for sure. The scope has changed a lot, and Voevoda of back then would have extreme problems with guy like Revaz, Morozov or Genadi, and he has the frame, was young and well juiced, unlike now.
That is the difference between getting pinned outright, and being able to open a guy like he did to Michael Todd in 2007, if you have the cup advantage by say 8- 12%, and are somewhat stronger everywhere else by another good 3-8%. These differences become fluid effortless domination, and MMT has since then made leaps and bounds until he hit his peak recently. He would almost surely beat Alexey of back then.@@dvr1337

I agree. Igor Mazurenko planned a match between John and Alexy in may 2006. Sadly, that match got canceled.
@@stretto2465 I always believed in John, and after his first and only loss to Voevoda, I'm pretty sure he could've beat him in a super match and also been heavier.
Sorry but I don't think Voevoda was that great, he had a great night period.

Older Voevoda is boring. His personality seems lackustre compared to his younger self. The Pulling John documentary made him seem like an eagle on top of a mountain waiting for prey. Now he just seems like a seal on a beach with Orcas waiting to attack.
It was just one event, Voevoda was hyped up like hell, and God knows for what reason. I guess with the scarce number of pullers in that division back then people were begging to drool over someone else.
