Super Bomber Man 5 should be included, even though it was only released in Japan. Not only is it challenging, there are quite a few Easter eggs and you can complete the levels by taking alternate paths.
I was really anxious watching this because I thought that Saturn Bomberman is not even on the list anymore. After all, it was released 20 years ago. We played this all night in the 90ies and I have two 6-Player Adapters and 10 controllers, even though it is really only good for up to 8 players, because the screen is really small in 10-Player mode. Haven't played in in years but I guess now its time to hook my Saturn up to the TV once more.
To be honest they left out like half the best games in the series like the DS entries and that speaks volumes. If the list was solely for american's then it makes me wonder why they even bothered since a large chunk of Bomberman games never got released in the US.
The DS one was great. You just had to have friends with a ds (They didn't need the game) and you could play it where ever you went. It also had a story mode
My friend you might want to take a look at Bomberman Story and Bomberman 2 DS because they're really solid entries for story as well. :) I do agree though for the record, tournament was awesome.
Bless you chaps :) I think everyone has that one Bomberman game that just sticks with them because that guy has always been around. I actually picked up Bomberman Tournament for GBA today but my first will always be...well Wario Blast :P
Adam The Gamer I remember when I was about 13 years ago when I went to buy a game for my Gameboy Color at GameStop I saw Wario Blast, the second I've seen the game I had to buy it! Man I absolutely loved Wario Blast, I mean I played it over multiple times as a kid, that was actually my first Bomberman game too.
the Bomberman 64 games were amazing! I spent many hours on the second one. many games in the 64 era didn't include a multiplayer story mode, but this one had an amazing one! the only problem I saw was player two couldn't help with boss battles.
OMG, just 2 days after I've got the permission to use bomberman as the basis of my Computer Science final project in college, you guys release this. You have no idea how wet my eyes got when I saw Mega Bomberman on the second spot, as it was the bomberman game that I have played the most since I was a child. Thank you! Thank you a lot for making this Top 10.
Also what I thought, back around the start of the century we played this allot to lan party's, had tournaments and was a perfect game when we had to burn time.
Yeah that's a hidden gem I just found just searching up 10 player games and it's on a PC I can pretty much run on any system of Microsoft Windows I tested it recently worked on Windows 10 fine I'm sad that nobody's picked it up in modded it it definitely needs some more cleaner environment for the options to bind keys and controllers as the only option to navigate the menus seems to be keyboard to press escape for back button
The Bomberman game on PS1 will always hold a place in my heart; I used to play it all the time - whether it be against my brothers, against the A.I. or through Single Player mode. It was such a great game, and had so much option and variety for everything.
This series was pretty popular with my entire family back in the day. Hell my first video game was bomberman 2. I played like 1 through 4, and one on the 64. Wow i didn't realize all these other titles existed. Awesome game.
I'm so glad that even though Hudson is gone and we have barely heard anything from Konami about Bomberman, peoplr still have a place for this great game series in their heart
@@Canadiansamurai I just recently saw a reproduction of that game sell for 100 bucks on ebay. I can't believe anybody would spend that much on a fake copy.
Atomic Bomberman had a level builder, sound effects you could change, I think up to 10 player multiplayer. It should have been on this list as the best PC version.
Top choice was correct. No other Bomberman game even comes close. Here's what made it great: - The 8-player local multiplayer mode was perfectly refined - Harvesting and riding dinosaurs of 3 different colors with different powers - Powering up the dinosaurs up to 3 times to make them incredibly powerful - After you died, you could bomb the other players from the outside - The controls were smooth, quick, and responsive - no other game even comes close to the precision and speed you could round corners in a Bomberman multiplayer game - The characters were awesome - not just different colors of a single artwork - The 2 players with special powers (we called them "bear" and "fast girl") were like handicaps for weaker players, or just to introduce some chaotic fun. For example "bear" could throw a bomb off the screen onto the other side at the start so you had to keep an eye out for it. - After a specified time, you could make it start destroying everything from the outside in, forcing players to kill one another within 2 minutes, so the waiting players who died would never have to wait that long to play again. - It was all about skill. With practice, you could execute some highly advanced moves that new players could not. One example, is bouncing bombs back at someone who kicked it at you. - Teaming up was effective. You could actually redirect a kicked bomb or double/triple up hitting an active player from the outside. - Beautiful cartoon graphics and sounds - Something like 8 different world modes for multiplayer, all with different twists. Some had warps, some had tornadoes, some had moving walkways that could switch direction, etc.
Where is bomberman world for the PS1? I have the japanese version Bomberman World for the PS1. I hated the english version due to the voice acting, it sounds like they got a child to voice all characters and it was awful. I fell in love with it due to the demo disc
Funnily enough I prefer the English version (assuming we're talking about the UK version); so much nostalgia. It was one of the first and one of the best video games I remember playing.
As a kid I rented Bomberman 64: The Second Attack and LOVED it! My mom couldn't find the cartridge anywhere though and wouldn't just pay the price to blockbuster to keep it. So I never got to keep the game I loved so much. I just looked up how much it is today and it's $200... If only my mom had paid the $30 price back then!!
I wanna chime in that Bomberman Fantasy Race for the PS1 (and digital download on PS3) is a pretty decent spin-off. Where as most franchises trying to get in on the Mario Kart money train would just lazily throw their characters into go-karts, Fantasy Race used the Louies and Tirras (those kangaroos and dinosaurs) as the "vehichles" in-game. It's far from the best racing game out there, but it's a fun time. A modern sequel would be amazing!
Super Bomberman 2, Bomberman 64 and Bomberman Hero where the Bomberman games of my childhood, especially Bomberman 64 will always be my absolute favorite !! ^^
Thank you! It might not be the best out of them all, but it definitely was the best one I have ever played. The multiple characters, mounts, arenas, and all that made it my favorite game for years. (Excluding Eternal Eyes and Pokemon Silver of course hehe) Not to mention multiplayer. This is what is the kicker for the entire series, it is MEANT for multiplayer, and as such has amazing multiplayer.

I agree with Saturn Bomberman being #1. I just got it for Saturn, LOVE IT. For a 2D Bomberman game, I never thought Bomberman '94 or Super Bomberman 3 could be topped. As for 3D, Generations > Jetters Bomberman Hero > Second Attack I feel Saturn Bomberman Fight is really cool too, but unsure if it belongs on the list.
IMO Super Bomberman and Bomberman 64 should have been in the top 3. The former introduced awesome co-op play and the latter had the best battle mode hands down while also having a challenging puzzle-driven single player mode.
You guys really don't need to put "with timestamps" in the title of future videos, just put "Timestamps in the description" at the top of the description, and in an annotation at the start
Bomberman deserve to be on Smash
***** Why?
I still believe that Nintendo might give him a chance if they ever make another ssb.
Unknown Person Assist Trophy
He’s a popular video game icon wit-oh wait he’s an a assist trophy.
Maybe the green mode might be where you help assist trophys become actual fighters
one of my first games for n64 back in the 90s was Bomberman 64.. It was such an amazing game.
A bit surprised that Super Bomberman 2-5 arn't mentioned in any form.
A bit doesn't even describes it, I am really surprised about it!! Those were great games!!
i know right? who made this list? lol
well I think sb4 is '94 or something. but 5 was amazing too. with the docent characters with built in abilities! !

Bomberman Hero only an Honorable Mention? Blasphemy!
For me Hero deserves it's own list of 10 most difficult levels. Also it's the best bomberman game
+J.P. Muñoz exactly, plus the soundtrack is amazing!
To be honest they left out like half the best games in the series like the DS entries and that speaks volumes. If the list was solely for american's then it makes me wonder why they even bothered since a large chunk of Bomberman games never got released in the US.
I agree dude!! It should have been #1 for sure
Patrick Bateman
it's the first Bomberman game I played... god damn it
Bomberman Hero's Soundtrack is one of my all time favourites in gaming history!
The DS one was great. You just had to have friends with a ds (They didn't need the game) and you could play it where ever you went. It also had a story mode
God I love that game. Even battling by yourself is still fun. Weirdly enough that one was published by Ubisoft.
it was the first game of the bombermen i played and its underrated
tbh I still play the game on my ds against bots
yeah was pretty fun
So happy to see Bomberman '93 get some love. Did NOT expect to see Bonk in this video! That #1 choice sounds awesome. Wish I could play it!
No Party Edition? No Super Bomberman 4? WTF?!?
I always prefered 4, I think it was because you could use the characters' powers
there's also Bomberman Fantasy Race, not famous but it's my fav
same!
Yeah it's the only bomberman game I owned back in the day.
Those damn wall mounted boosters were a bitch to use!
Bomberman Kart also
Same here too!
Holy crap I forgot all about that game. I must find it NOW.
I think Bomberman World deserves a place in the top

Bomberman 64: The Second Attack has always been my favorite in the series, and it makes me happy to see that it made a high spot on he list.
