  • Mauritius is a stunning island with towering mountains and lush landscapes. There are a few high end resorts scattered throughout the country, with many of them centered on the east coast thanks to its calm lagoons and spectacular surroundings. The Four Seasons is a spectacular retreat and we can't wait to tell you all about it!
    In the review, we’ll tell you everything you need to know:

    One of the key features of the resort is its proximity to Ile aux Cerfs, one of the famous islands frequented by tour groups and day trippers. Four Seasons has a private beach club on Ile aux Cerfs, which is accessible by a quick boat ride from the resort.
    We enjoyed a delicious welcome drink of lemongrass and pineapple while we waited for the check in to wrap up and were quickly taken on a tour of the property on the way to the villa. The bellman told us everything we needed to know about the grounds, restaurants and facilities on the way in the buggy.
    All 136 rooms at Four Seasons are villa-style with private patios and outdoor bathrooms. We were checked into the Island Beach Pool Villa, a 1,130 square foot private villa with direct access to the Quiet Beach.
    The bathroom is, as always, my personal favorite part of the villa. The double vanity faces the view, but the privacy screen is available if you prefer a more separated bathroom from the bedroom. To one side, you will find the walk-in closet and the other has a separate toilet room. There is a bathtub complete with Diptyque bath salts as well as the indoor shower that faces the private outdoor area with glass surrounding the back wall. Outside, you will find a private outdoor shower with a waterfall shower head. The bathroom is luxurious and private and the Diptyque products were an excellent choice.
    Overall, service at the Four Seasons was good. The property has a number of amenities that are unique and make you feel very appreciated throughout the day. Staff members constantly come by sunbeds across the resort with sweet treats like fruits, little cakes, juices, little shots of tasty rum beverages and more. There is a service member who also comes around once in a while to clean your sunglasses. They were also exceptionally good at bringing water to your sun chairs immediately when you sat down and consistently throughout the day. These types of sweet gestures really elevate the service experience overall.
    Overall, we absolutely loved our time at the Four Seasons Resort in Mauritius. The comfortable, private villas and incredible food and beverage offerings alongside the amazing facilities really make the Four Seasons a standout in Mauritius. We absolutely cannot wait to return to experience more of the property and facilities of the Four Seasons.

      Thank you for your comment! Yea, the exit sign was odd for sure, still not sure if it's a legal thing or what lol. Totally agree with you- it's a beautiful property!

    Very good review. Thank you! I’m selecting a hotel on Mauritius in August, but this is a hard choice. Four Seasons seems to require renovation, St. Regis Le Mourn rebranded for a reason. One & Only seems the only interesting option.

      Thank you so much for your comment! We appreciate you watching :). There are a few high end options on Mauritius and they all have their pros and cons. One & Only is currently under renovation so pending their opening, that could definitely be a good option as I have no doubt they will make some great updates. It's also on a great part of the coast. If you're looking for more "modern" look and design than FS, I would say Shangri-La is also a safe choice as well as they have a night airy style and the beach there is fabulous. Great video. And yes the exit sign is indeed mandatory as per Mauritian law.

      Thanks so much!! Also that’s great to know! We figured, but it’s interesting that no other properties we stayed at had the exit sign. Maybe it’s because it’s a free standing villa versus a room in a building? Thanks so much for sharing that information

    Hi guys, your reviews are super informative and I’m watching them closely! You’ve done 4 Seasons in Mauritius and Bora Bora…any chance for a review of the St Regis Bora Bora??

      Hi Drew! Thank you so much for your comment. The four seasons bora bora and Mauritius were so amazing! We have not yet been to the St. Regis Bora Bora and it's on our list!! It's located right next to the FS actually. Let us know any questions you have!

    Thx for the review. I’m considering going there in August with my wife and 2 kids under 5. Wanted to ask if dining from a la carta is expensive like the Maldives or not cause I was wondering if I should go for half board? And what was the beach pool room u were in? Cause I too looking for the quiet side of the beach

    • @VoyagerGuru
      @VoyagerGuru  Місяць тому

      Hey! So yes, a la carte is pricey, just like the Maldives, although maybe slightly less. Either way, I think I would definitely consider half-board. Also, the villa's you'll want to be in are on the Island, Villa's 161 to 167. FYI, we can get you special perks for Four Seasons bookings, so be sure to reach out to us and we can see what the best price/perks are for you, just DM us on instagram (@voyagerguru) or email us at team@voyagerguru.com

      Thank you so much! Yes, such a bummer! We were very unlucky. We were there in the end of January :(. It was still very pretty but definitely not the best weather 🤣. Apparently January and February are inconsistent

    Theres no private beach in mauritius.

    • @VoyagerGuru
      @VoyagerGuru  8 місяців тому

      You’re 100% correct, some are just harder to get to than others 🤣. You can technically pull up in a boat anywhere!
