The Key: READ THE LABELS. There are (very few) processed meats without nitrates, added crap, etc. - but they are usually on a top shelf away from the popular meats - and - notice their expiration dates - because they have no preservatives, they expire quickly.

I went carnivore 2 years ago. I eat mostly red meat but also chicken and pork. No bread, no wheat, no plants of any kind, and zero sugar.
The changes were astounding. In six weeks, I lost 2 or 3 inches in my waist back to what I was in high school. I'm 63. Aches and pains? Gone. Little eye sties? Gone. My blood pressure last check, 104 over 62. The sugarless part, I think, did the most of it . But plants can cause a host of inflammatory problems and diseases. And zero processed food. That's a major issue. Processed foods of any kind are awful.

    Bill,
We as a species are carnivores! Your recommendations are a good basic foundation.
For all adults alcohol should be the first thing to go. Eliminate all plant based foods, especially foods(carbs)that convert into sugar.
I will give the name of an American Neurosurgeon living in Australia that has been a carnivore for over 10 years.
    Dr Anthony Chaffee.
Bill I highly recommend that you reach out to Dr Chaffee. You have the opportunity to turn back the biological clock.
Dr Chaffee explains this subject matter in a way that is easy to understand.
I’m 68 years old and have been carnivore over a year now. Saved my life.
Another carnivore MD is Robert Kiltz. He is a Boomer like us.
This lifestyle is so easy but so hard.
    The hard part is discipline.
    Thanks
