Thanks for putting a spotlight on these cards. I'd like to encourage you to provide links in the description for products you showcase. It's a value added for the viewers in removing a few steps to go find them. Thanks again for your video and efforts.
I'm not being paid to advertise by the designer, publisher, or the company selling these, so I often don't feel like linking. If you google the title of this video "outdoor encounter cards phil reed" it's the first link that comes up. Sometimes I do, but I often forget because I'm working 60+ hours a week at this and my day job and there is a lot to get done and things slip my mind. What I strive to do is present good information in the context of the video, and then people can do with that information what they desire.
@@TheDungeonDive it was a suggestion to make a viewers life easier as you have first hand experience and maybe even had the link saved. I love your channel and applaud your efforts. Don't take my suggestion as criticism as it wasn't intended to be. Hope you have a better day than it seems you might be having as your comment comes across heavy handed to me. Pointing out someone can do the obvious using a Google search is rather insulting.
Another really good reason why I rarely provide links is because links often break. For a perfect example see Godshard. I provided retail info, but as of today the game is no longer available. So all the links I provided are dead. So now people are asking me for updated links. I'm not in the business of helping people find where to buy things. It's just not what I want to be spending my time doing.
@@TheDungeonDive That's a solid answer. Make that your go to for linking comments or suggestions. Comes across far more reasonable and friendly than the first answer you gave. Have a great day and if youre not having one I hope you get one soon. 😉
Have all 4 sets of these outdoor encounter cards by Phil Reed. Highly recommend them for solo gaming, inspiration, and for random drawing in groups games.
I love decks of cards as well for solo gaming. I've been looking for a deck of story cues, narrative twists, or plot points, kind of like Mythic's Random Events or Scene Interrupts. I guess I could just use the Mythic GME deck of cards, but I think there's a simpler solution, and haven't seen one.
So I assume from this vid that the 52 existing cards that were in the original deck have been spread throughout the 4 new decks? This is a shame as I do not wish to purchase the same thing twice. Had the new cards been issued in separate decks, I would have bought them.
@@philipjreedHey Phil I just bought these in PDF format on Drivethrurpg these are great! And bought your potions one and a few others as well. Do you plan on doing indoor/urban encounter decks in the future as suggested in the video? Thanks.
Available on Drive Thru RPG.
Thank you!!! And yeah, a deck of urban encounters would be a blast. One of these days.

Yes! I'm in desperate need of a urban deck of this.
These are so cool. I could see myself using these for say a Forbidden Lands adventure. See if you can get Phil Reed on your channel for a chat!
I love the art and writing, definitely gonna look to pick this up, thanks for the review
Hope you enjoy it!

These look pretty sweet
These are so awesome!
They are!

Here DD, have this old school "FIRST!!!"

As I said, the duplicates have new text so not total duplicates. I bought all both times and don’t regret it at all.
My four decks came first. The Fantasy Trip version was created by Steve after reading through my cards and choosing some of his favorites.
