Honestly? Eric knowing how to spell "croquembouche" but not the rest of the English language makes 100% perfect sense. For starters, it's French. Secondly, Eric probably pours over cookbooks in his attempts at cooking, which coincidentally could be his most effective method at learning English!

I wouldn't expect SCPs of Sodor to release this summer since for starters: Victor only revealed the year, he never mentioned a season of winter, fall, summer or spring. Plus if he did said summer, given he's from Australia, it would air in winter for us. And second, he did mention to me that it wasn't coming along too good, so it might be releasing much later than what you're expecting.
Yesterday I started checking out some of the TUGS episodes for the first time, and I finally noticed how some of the Stories of Sodor episodes were very closely identical to those ones in plot. Such as "Percy," "Trapped," "Fog," and "Storm." I found it really funny.

Honestly this how we learned to spell in Maltese when I was in primary and secondary school. You have to break every word down to spell it as it sounds.
