Car goes mid to low 10's at a heavy 2540lbs race weight. Looking to get into the 9.90s on this same power level so the tranny and suspension are getting more attention next. MPH is definitely there for a high 9 pass, I just need to get the 60 foot down some more and it will come. What is the best ET for that hatch so far?

hes only bouncing off the limiter because its wheelspinning, you have to wait till it grips and the car matches wheel speed till you change, if you change gear too early while spinning it will just bog down, drop revs and lose power but i know what you mean alot of honda guys do love limiter bashing anyway for the sound lol
Most important are the cams , hc pistons , and oilpump... and a master tuner offcourse... I have a built k20a2 , rev limit set at 9.400 rpm , and touching that almost everyday lol 🤪 And most important parts to reach those rpm's in mine are 12.5:1 pistons , dragcartel 2.2 cams , full supertech valvetrain and 4piston racing oilpump... Along with full bolt ons , on europe's Shell V-Power 98 fuel

Kimi Raikkonen no, the idle was little bit high.. you can hear that in the movie.. the idle was like 2000rpm. The drop in rpm you can check on the website from Quaife en check the gear ratio’s in what kind of rpm range you next gear will drop in. But the rpm gauge was just fine

You dumb fuck, it's banging off the rev limiter because it's wheel spinning. If you change the gear as soon as it hits rev limit the car will bog down. Do some research before shit talking
Rev limiter shuts off the fuel to the engine. lowering combustion temperatures to well... nothing. There is another type of limiter which cuts ignition and which could cause problems, because fuel is still supplied to the engine it could dilute the oil with the fuel over time.
At the top of third he has gained traction and still does it. Regardless, bouncing off the limiter is pointless. The best way to gain traction is to "pedal" it, or short shift
why would you need power bellow 7K rpms when you engine revs to almost 10 ? Each gear shift drops you to around 7500-8000 so it could be making 50HP bellow 7000 and it STILL wouldn't matter. You don't drive an engine like this to pull weight.
