Considering that it’s very likely that 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray is the last physical video format, it’s a shame that studios aren’t pulling out all the stops to make these 4K releases top-notch and the most definitive versions of these movies (for this particular case, I’m referring to the audio). Of course they could be planning on releasing the same movies a few years later with improved audio. We’ve seen similar things with repackaged DVDs and Blu-rays that offer something different from previous editions.
Went back to Walmart last night and they had it. They must have gotten a shipment yesterday because it was shelved really close to COMING TO AMERICA and there is no way I missed it the day before. Too bad they didn't pump up that audio. I'm still glad I have this classic.
And got my POPEYE yesterday. Really hoped for a slipcover, but I don't think they released one.
Great Review. The Golden Child, is another Eddie Murphy Movie I Enjoyed back in the Day.

paramount could have added/made NEW bonus extras. same with collateral. when will lethal weapon, contact, aliens, star trek the motion picture, what lies beneath, etc/ get a restoration or good remasters/clean-up on 4k...?
this movie and its sequels are hilarious
its nice to see eddie murphy in this type of movie
also the characters that he interacts with are fun
judge reinhold's character , det. bill rosewood in the film is entertaining
whereas ronny cox's character lt. bogomil while being somewhat entertaining, although he comes off at times mildly annoying similar to being like his robocop character dick jones, his character from loose cannons, Smiley, and his character from Star trek the Next generation Edward Jellico , which are three characters that are Not well liked,
but aside from that complaint involving cox's performance as bogomil
the film and its sequels are entertaining
and i just merely focus more on murphy when he talks to people and reinhold when he's talking to murphy
and when murphy is talking to the character jenny summers played by lisa eilbacher, which the summers character is a lot more entertaining to murphy and not cox's character when he's giving these speeches to officers that make it sound like he's acting in the same path as his other characters from robocop, tng, and loose cannons, which is someone who has no clear understanding of what is going on
other people in the film appear in it, which are all from sitcoms, including paul reiser and bronson pinchot,
which are also enjoyable
the characters serge played by pinchot and jeffrey played by reiser , act like characters that would be on a sitcom
but they are quite entertaining
overall, despite only lt.bogomil being rather annoying to the other officers in the film
the film is really enjoyable overall

This is the worse 4k disc i ever seen color is washed out and the whole picture is very dark the bluray is gold next to this i will never buy a paramount 4k disc again.
Agree that it at least wasn't impressive.
