Right place at the right time, you done well. Just don't get carried away filming useless stuff. Not sure why the cops couldn't handle traffic, they are normally pretty good. Yes, they do get in the way most times. The renovation workers should have had an extinguisher handy while they worked on the roof, this fire could have been avoided. Glad the FDNY saved the lady's dog.

NYC fire department is very busy
to much for one of the extension cords up there to handle.. i think thats what caught on fire.. and since it was summer and on a roof.

Fire was started by a roofer using a torch hope he was insured
Really no need for a 4 alarm on this, Was restricted to the roof, a few hand lines and some overhaul and your ready to run again.
