Hi, this is nothing to do with this video per se.. (ooh 'per se'' french pretentious TW- ) but i'm very much interested in your views on Akercocke.. Have been a fave band since 2003 after Cradle brought me into the depths of darkness beyond!.. (see that's not pretentious at all! ...maybe)

Wow I'm VERY surprised Blut Aus Nord wasn't mentioned for Industrial black metal, they're the best in the genre to me at least, great list as always
I mean, Blut Aus Nord has such a wide variety of influences in their sound that calling them just Industrial BM is a bit of a disservice in my opinion.

Blackthrash- Nifelheim
Atmospheric black metal-Drudkh (personal favorite) and Burzum (The legend)
Depressive black metal- Austere (PF) and Shining (the legend, even though the sound was kind of pioneered by bands like Burzum, Strid, Katatonia, forgotten woods and Bethlehem)
Bestial black metal- Blasphemy (the legend) but my personal favorite is probably Revenge
First wave black metal- Bathory
Second wave black metal- Darkthrone
Symphonic black metal- Masters hammer (The legend IMO. Very underrated and their first two albums is essential black metal classics) but my personal favorite is Emperor
Melodic black metal- The legend and my personal favorite is Dissection
Pagan black metal- Bathory
Industrial black metal- Have to say Mysticum are the legends and they are from my hometown. Even though Thorns predated them a little bit, Mysticum perfected the genre
Blackgaze- Alcest
raw black metal- Ildjarn
Blackened doom- old Katatonia
avant garde black metal- Ved buens ende
Epic black metal- Summoning
cosmic black metal- Midnight odyssey
Hellenic black metal- Necromantia
Black n roll- Venom
I'd have to put Sargeist's Let the Devil In somewhere in this list, not very sure where though, the vocals on that album are absolutely derranged and I always found the guitar work to sound like a string ensemble at times, I think it has a lot to do with the way it is produced. I'd highly recommend anyone to check it out if they haven't already!

Questy, have you heard Moonlight Sorcery? They just released their debut album after two EPs last year. It's super melodic. Like if bands like Dissection or Havukruunu had more of a power metal influence.

Burzum , Belphegor, and Thy Light, Shining , Bathory are literally top-notch in their subgenre. I don't really listen that much to other subgenres.

Peste Noire isn't NS, they are fascist (not the same thing regardless of what ignorant people think). They have literally made this clear in an interview where instead of denying they are NS, they said, and I'm paraphrasing " no, we are more in line with orthodox Italian fascism".

Not too bad a list in a few of the sub genres but you left out a lot of good bands but you left out really good ones, slaughter messiah, toxic holocaust, moonblood hades almighty nachtfalke krieg leviathan etc
