Dawn was the all around the best around member. But the group still misses that gospel soul sound Maxine brings. They need to put aside their egos and differences and just do a big tour of all 4 original members.
Cindy and Terry gives the best energy and overall stage presence. Dawn and Maxine gets lazy with choreography and live vocals aren't their strongest points.
Also Dawn choosing a false/head voice at 4:56 instead of the the stronger note on the album is masters class. She couldn't do a loud brassy note and then get back in the harmony so tight so she was smart and chose a head voice sound to integrate right into the harmonies at 4:59. Live singing "for real" is an lesson in engineering and these women are professional engineers!
BUCKET LIST to see Terry and Cindy...you ladies, Maxine, and Dawn have kept me alive so many nights (seriously)...Terry, Fall 1995 I was assaulted and "Wherever You Are" was my favorite song during the aftermath. It may have meant something different, but to 14-year-old me in a crisis, the lines "Build me a road, dear, and I will come runnin' /No matter how long or how hard it may be/I have the light from your love, dear, to guide me/I promise I'll be there whenever you need" meant that someone was on my side. I have to stop there because I'm starting to get teary, but I hope you see this at some point, somehow...I love you. Cindy, you are just a celestial **dream**...
@shylosworld78 I disagree, I don't know if this is still true, but Terry has always had a bangin' range. Much clearer tone then Dawn's. Even though Terry has admitted to ruining her voice because she wasn't doing her vocal exercises like their manager said. Listen to Don't Go by En Vogue where Terry has the whole lead. Listen to that RANGE!
@@umamizaddy No, she didn't...They were getting ripped off financially, like so many other groups...She spoke up, and the othere girls didn't back her up..
@Calvin375 Dawn5 octaves and Cindy 4 octaves alternate as Soprano. Terry sings mezzo-soprano with 5 octaves and Max. Tenor is male voice. Max has 4 octaves not just low notes
@@derrickbledsoe9547 absolutely I agree. I just want to add Terry can sing all parts. She can hit the whistle register too! And who knew that Maxine was professionally training as a soprano but Tommy and Denny heard that low sexy and said nope! Carry that for us and could u imagine missing out on that jazzy soul she adds??!!!! It reminds me of how Tboz is a soprano but Jermaine Dupree told her that low sexxy should be her niche and she listened! Imagine Baby Baby Baby without that low sexxy, never!!!
@ckreeves Although, their usual vocal format is;Cindy(1st) Dawn(2nd) Terry(alto) and Maxine(tenor), they will switch up such as they've done on "Love Don't Love You", where Cindy sings the 2nd and Dawn does the 1st. BTW, on the breakdown part "Never gonna get it, never gonna get it.Whoo, whoo, whoo, whooo....; Terry is the one singing the absolute bottom; not Maxine!!! Look for the clip on UA-cam where they sing it acappella on the old BET's Donny Simpson show! Watch and listen carefully!
@ckreeves Thanx, CK, but, judgin' from a cameo that Cindy made on 'Full house', you wouldn't think she was the 1st soprano. Her speakin' voice sounded more of what an alto sounds like. LOL! Have a blessed 4th, today!
@DaveWollenberg /from the highest to lowest Cindy, Dawn, Terry and Maxine singing the lower notes even though in harmonies Cindy sings the highest notes Dawn can also sing them as well from my knowledge Dawn has the widest range.
No no.. Actually dawn and Terry sings the higher harmonies. Cindy and Maxine sings the lowest parts. It's almost scary how Cindy and Max and cam carry the low parts
I miss all 4 originals envogue singers..😭😭
Max an her trademark micro braids.. That lady always rockd braids..
#FACTS!
The harmony at 4:59 "never gonna get it" has to be the best harmonic few seconds of any girl group ever. Its just that good!
Dawn was the all around the best around member. But the group still misses that gospel soul sound Maxine brings. They need to put aside their egos and differences and just do a big tour of all 4 original members.
This should've been En Vogue Live Reunion concert album/CD/DVD 🎵🎶
🎤🎤🎤🎤
They look very happy to be back together here...
they are always happy to be back together (i bet that "together" money is GOOD) but can never last.
Getting paid right really gives happiness.
People like to say how different it is without Max and Dawn. But it would be just as different if it was Cindy or Terry.
duh
Christian Griffin Max and Dawn are the strongest
@@Housee01 to be truthful I see that now

I caught that too!!!! Beautiful
Whitney used to play around with notes like that too
the way they sound and look...they have many more albums and hits in the future
There must be a third part to this with don't let go, hold on and giving him something he can feel....
This is why I don’t care for the new member these 4 original members it’s just magical omggggggggggg 🔥🔥🔥
Cindy is cut up....girl looks good!

Great vocals and great looks -
OMG this is amazing
GORGEOUS!
This group needs Dawn's voice.. She gives me the En Vogue sound..She just completes the sound...My God, why would they want to ruin this..
BIG FACTS!!!!
Dawn ruined it for herself, over and over and over again.

what a wonderful question
I like this jam 👍
Great footage. I can't wait for the girls to come with new material. Its time for new stuff.
New CD released today 6th April 2018...

I love how Max says "My luhhh-vin'" @ 3:15 and "Yes, Suhhh!" @ 4:20 lol.
This is soooooo AWESOME! Thanks so much for sharing this with us!!!
Soooo gut
It's funny,'cuz Wikipedia said that Cindy Herron is a soprano. LOL! God bless!
見たかった(泣)
I know Cindy Herron sings the soprano part. What are the vocal parts of the other 3 girls? Somebody let me know. God bless! Love me some En Vogue!
Dawn - 2nd Soprano
Terry - Alto
Maxine - Contralto

I'm not so sure about that I watched that particular show with the ladies, I still think that Terry was singing her alto note.

On "Love Don't Love You" Terry had to take it down 2 notches because this live version ain't as turnt up as the album/cd version

so rare. Did they performed "Desire" and "Runaway Love"?
@shylosworld78 What 'bout Maxine Jones?
I Love That Girlz ;) Yaaa
Kisses ;)
Some bad sisters
Terry sounds terrible
She sound like she had shortness of breathe. Definitely not her best
I wouldn’t say terrible, but it seems they were struggling in the beginning.
They all had issues except maybe Dawn
Says the person who can’t sing 🎤
