It’s good it’s just feels like something is missing that made the first 3 special
The Furious 5 was missing
To me it’s because for the first 3 movies it was about Po becoming better and stronger. Throughout the trilogy, we see him develop as a character and become stronger each movie but now it felt like his story ended with the 4th movie. His character development over and a new ones started.
Properly a Great Villian lol
My thoughts exactly. The first three each had a great location/aesthetic, strong personal goal for Po, and obviously amazing villains.
I didn’t feel like this film showed any of that in the trailer.
Heart and darker themes.
After the second film, angry mom's complained that the film was too dark, so Dreamworks decided to take some of that heart and darker theme away and focus more on comedy.
Which is what happened in Kung Fu Panda 3 and now 4.
The comedy is actually funny still(Unlike new MCU)
But it's just too much sometimes
There's no freaking way lord shen and kai don't talk in this movie💀
I was pretty disappointed to not hear the voices again, and some sort of way I feel insulted
They couldn't get Gary Oldman and JK simmons

Dreamworks was always hit and miss. At the end of the day, they aren't much different than Disney.

I have a feeling the reason the three villains seemed out of character may have been due to their time in the afterlife.
But kai was in afterlife for 500 years before kung fu panda 3

How the hell was Kai even in the Spirit Realm though? He literally exploded.
My thoughts on this movie:
Pros:
-The comedy
-some action scenes
Cons:
-the pacing
-some jokes don't land
-the movie can feel formulaic
-the villain wasn't as threatening as the first 3
-the movie doesn't take itself seriously
yeah i think some people also hate that the jokes felt forced i dont see how though.

Someone came up with a great idea where Po offers Tigress the role of Dragon Warrior, and she politely declines. Realizing that it’s no longer what she wanted. Showing another characters level of growth as well.

It’s not good lol, the pacing is sooooo fast and it just lost its charm. They rush way too much, don’t have shifu or furious 5 do anything. Jumpcut to locations and rush the entire thing. Worst of all, there is nearly no kung fu! The best fight in the movie would be considered the worst of the other 3. It’s a huge letdown
Are Kung Fu Panda 5 & 6 gonna be Good for you since you loved Kung Fu Panda 4?
Assuming those are made I don’t think they’ll be as good as the first trilogy but who knows

I am gonna be frank here, almost all new movies/sequels/shows are shit, cinema industry are literally out of ideas and creativity so most are just relying on unwanted Live actions, or nostalgia cashgrabs Sequels which are mediocre or straight garbage. Old films has depth, well written characters, actual emotional scenes with thrilling sequences with great storytelling, and looked gorgeous as the animators had to put a lot of effort.Still there are few rare masterpiece in today's films, But for me I would rather watch Jurassic Park 1 again instead of watching the awful Jurassic world sequels, same with KFP, Don't ask for more but smile because we got to grow up with masterclass films like Wall E, HTTYD, Ratatouille, Shrek, unforgettable memories, KFP 5,6 are inevitable but I guarantee u nothing will surpass the Og films old gold films

Many times in a franchise, the 4th one would be the weakest. Either good but not better then the first 3 movies, mid or bad. At least its better then Love and Thunder

While I haven't seen the movie, i feel like the villans in the first three kung fu panda movies are so perfect that dreamworks kinds set themselves up for failure imo. Like tai lung, shen and kai are some of the best villains in animated movies imo. But who knows, still excited to see the movie
Clearly it was the least expensive because they did hire any of the voice actors for the furious 5, or actos like J.K Simmons or Gary Oldmen who should’ve been because I would’ve loved to see Shen speak to Poe again

It wasn’t awful, but there were definitely some things they could have chamged to make it better, i had this idea that the chameleon shouldn’t have been the billain from the start, and instead po’s old. Villains start coming back and causing rampage, making po think theyre all back, and the chameleon would only be introduced towards the end, when the climax has started

The chameleon was so simple in compare to the rest of the villains in my opinion
For the new trilogy, what I hope to see is Tai Lung somewhat get his revenge, maybe unlock some new powers and fight Po one last time.
Even if this doesn’t happen ill still look forward to the future of this series

I knew it wasn’t gonna be a flop I would watch it with low expectations and just enjoy it same thing as I did with dune 2 and lord it had fun with it I would recommend everyone to do the same

Doom Blazer I think I know what its missing,a heart warming quote because you know how Oogway said some good quotes in the past well that might be the reason but if he did say something then it might have not been as heart warming idk but ima see if myself so thank you for sharing.

- Chameleon is defeated in 2 Hits
- Po was forced to choose a successor but Oogway was very old when he had to choose Po?
- Kai being brought back sucked because he exploded IN THE SPIRIT REALM, not Earth. On top of that he had no dialogue.
- Shen had no dialogue either, and he was never a Kung Fu Master.
- Furious 5 are completely absent except for the last 4 minutes of the movie and they still had no dialogue
- Chameleon sucked she had no good plot and was just put there as a villain
KFP4 sucked I didn’t like it I wish they put more they should’ve kept the old Director of the first 3 movies

I know they already planned the franchise to be six movies , but I personally never wanted a fourth Kung fu panda movie. Po embracing who he is & going from a student to the teacher was how I wanted to remember him as a character. Ending of the third movie always felt like the perfect ending for the Po's story. I don't think I will watch this movie

the moment when i watched the trailer for kungfu panda 4 i knew this was gonna be a letdown from the others. Not only that nowadays sequels are making the original trilogy bad. But I honestly thought this movie is gonna be more bad but ia glad it isn't. It's a one-time watch
It’s basically another Toy Story 4 incident. The movie wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t good, it was mid and overall unnecessary. I just wish companies would stop breaking trilogies that should’ve stayed trilogies just for money.

In my mind I rate this just barely above Kung Fu Panda 3 but definitely not better than 1 and 2 those are my favorites
The problem was I wish there was more Furious Five like you said and I wish there was more fighting scenes and it felt too easy to defeat The Chameleon for Zhen
im so glad theres people like doom that give 100% valid and fair reviews on movies, like most people would be hating on this even tho it was honestly a solid movie

This movie was about changing the fox, all along po could have defeated the villain with two hits.
It's not bad at all, everything in it works just like the previous 3, it's just it will never be the same without the furious five fighting alongside Po
I thought it made no sense how Chen bowed to Poe, it didn’t feel right at all. I enjoyed it, but the whole movie just didn’t feel right
It was just crazy to me how the chameleon had the most op abilities and was wiped in 2 hits
They shouldve made po defeat chameleon on her final form. It wouldve shown his development from all three past movies. I also think that the movie wouldve been better without the fox mc. Tai Lung shouldve been introduced in the movie as an antihero or a side character with a redemption arc. So that he can finally achieve his dream of being the dragon warrior which sounds alot better than a random fox becoming dragon warrior without any relevance. Idk abt you guys but po and tailung fighting chameleon wouldve been way better.

First time there were aspects in a KFP film I didn’t love. Ping and Le carried, and the Tai Lung fight was the best scene in the movie. But there is one detail in the end that really made me drop my jaw out of pure disappointment (I won’t spoil it here). It’s not a bad movie, but in my heart, Kung Fu Panda ended with 3.
I hope KP5 is stronger and makes the furious 5 more prominent

the three villains had their own character, motivation and their own gimmicks like tai lung's nerve strike, sheng's cannons and kai's jade soldiers.
The chameleon was just a downgraded kai and her backstory is she's too small to learn kung fu. Mantis, meanwhile was getting laid.

Much better plot idea: Shapeshifter is out there, Po needs to stop her but she's too powerful on her own and the 5 are away. So, po does the unthinkable. He brings back Tai lung, Shen and Kai to help him. Honestly, the dynamic between the 3 villains and Po woulda been f*ckin hilarious. But through them Po would learn to "let go" as they did (as in he lets go of his destiny, to pass it to the fox)
Even the story itself wouldn't make sense for me I think that hour and 20 minutes wasn't enough for the movie could've been better,plus the villains barely talk and where did the 5 others go bad idea to introduce the new character

I Think it was too fast paced and we didn’t get to live in characters like chameleon. The furious five only were in the end credits and didn’t say anything. Kai and she should have gotten to talk not only tai lung, also they should have put up more of a fight. And imo og way should have made some kind of appearance. Also when po defeats chanmeleon and they bow down, it doesn’t feel right to me for they just to change like that
I heard that The movie director didn't want to give The Chameleon or Zhen a Backstory, but the rest of the crew tried to convince him that it was a terrible idea, so all they could do is a few Dialogs, and the Co-director had Really Good ideas that would have made the movie better than it is now.
It had a 75%-81% rotten tomatoes for the lowest score in the entire franchise, that says something
It deserves lower, the reason it even got that high is because parents bring their kids and love the silly stupid stuff and rate it five stars. If you go and look at the reviews of people who care and watch all the movies, they rate it much lower.
@@feudalocean8428well I’m one of those people who care and I rate it 7 or 8 out of 10. It’s not a bad movie at any rate. It’s very solid. Just has a few things that bring it down a notch.

@@feudalocean8428 the action was not the worst. Some of the actions was pretty good. At this point I’m wondering if you actually saw the movie. The action keeps up just like all the other movies. Jokes weren’t bland. Some didn’t hit but a lot of them did. I would agree the pacing was a bit off but chameleon wasn’t generic at all. If anything they could have done something more with her character. That’s my complaint with her. It wasn’t a bad movie. It was solid. Not the greatest but you can watch it and just relax and enjoy yourself
@@damonestephens8722 the action wasn’t choreographed at all, it was short generic fighting. Compare it to the past 3 with well planned and thought out action sequences and it just isn’t the same. You could argue some of the jokes are good, I personally think they flooded too many of them. But the biggest downside to me was the pacing, it wasn’t just bad it was straight up horrible. The amount of just instant jump cuts while talking/traveling is crazy.

@@MDVNORI yeah, I just saw it. It’s not how I pictured his involvement in the movie…I thought he would team up with Po and he would have closure with Shifu and reconcile. I also hoped he would become the Dragon Warrior, if anyone deserved it, it would be him

I mean the reason why this movie budget was solo is because one the new animation style is not that expensive to make and they didn’t have to the furious five to pay the voice actors
I’d say that they didn’t build up the suspense to make the chameleon seem dangerous theyuilt up so much suspense with the other three villains
