Pixel 9 Pro owner here, just got these today, LOVE THEM. Huge improvement over the first gen Pros. Super comfortable and light, and the improvement to transparency mode is almost sad how much better it is.
@@ThisFrameDoesntExistI've been using them all day today and it's basically the same as having the earbuds out with maybe slightly more (static) noise. Noise cancelling is also really impressive, in most cases almost completely silent and has the same amount of pressure as my Sony xm4 over-ears.
mine delivered earlier today while at work, just got around to setting them up and everything. I love how much more secure they feel and wow they are SO light and small, I can hardly tell they're in my ears!
Don't sound the best or have the most features but they're really small, the batteries last a long time, they sound good enough and the ANC really is 2x as good as the previous version (I have the Pixel Buds Pros to compare against). Redesigned tips help seal in the ear canal well. This plus the improved ANC lowers the noise floor and allows for wider dynamic range - so yes they sound better than v1 but still not as good as my Sony XM4s (which are way bulkier and with poorer mics).
Nice and informative review, the only thing I am missing is a mic test (in a quiet and loud environment). And indeed no hi-res codecs on a product at this price point is just bonkers..
I've watched a few other videos and the opinions seem to be consistent that the mic quality is a step back from the older Pro's. It's so noticeable I imagine there will be a firmware update.
@@tspirateI have had a Google phone every generation since the Nexus 5x. At times I would switch to iphones for a couple of months but would always go back to a Pixel. Currently on a Pixel 9 pro and it is my favorite phone since I started using smartphones. I don't see myself ever going back to IOS now that the Pixel Watch 3 is as incredible as it is.
@@fitzworld18 I have had their buds in past since the ones that had the string to attach them. The Pixel Buds Pro was too big in my ears. Hopefully the new ones work out.
Just bought'em. Love them but my old Sony XM4's has way better ANC. With the Sony's I hear literally nothing standing at a busy street intersection. The Pixels do a good job but you hear lower tones
Ups worker here they are the best I've used doesn't give you that sweaty suction feeling and they don't fall out. You might think it fell out but it's just light and comfy.
@@Dalekenya7100 very good to hear, thanks! Do you have a pixel phone, by chance? I have a note 20 ultra, just seeing if I miss too much without a pixel.
I just ordered mine. They will be here tomorrow. I have many models of headphones and buds. I love the Pixel Buds series. I am a pixel and iPhone user. The Apple ecosystem is awesome. The Google Pixel phones are great too. I have a hard time choosing so I have both.😉
Considering the MSRP is o nly 30$ more than the previous gen, that has tons of improvements, yeah. I'd think its worth it. Personally got myself a pair after my original V1's died for some reason. Though I genially can't tell if I got a defective unite or what. ANC just feels just a tiny bit weaker on the left than the right, but it could be a seal issue, or even a firmware issue... Kinda wish I just had the disposable income to buy another pair to see if I'm just going crazy or something.
Beats Fit Pro, Sennheiser Momentum Sport, JBL Reflect, Samsung Galaxy Buds, Jaybird Vista, to name a few. The "nub" is the same as a wing in my mind though it does work a bit differently.
@@utsavshah7227 Left bud went out on both. I know weird, but I needed new buds quick. The A series was good for running. Buds pro for me were horrible for running. I was going to give the Buds Pro 2 or new Galaxy buds a go, but they were not out yet. I was totally skeptical on the Air Pro 4 I just needed something quick. For the money they are very good with a ton of higher end features. LDAC works great too with Deezer Hifi. I'll probably still get another Google or Samsung pair.

How good is transparency? It was the main reason I went for airpods pro 2

Fit not as fitting as air pods pro .... But subjective though
Transparency on this is QUITE good. Probably on the same level as airpod pro's 2
Thanks for all the videos
Thanks for the review! Hour did you like the transparency mode in the wind?
@@nikicrewes1411 it gets garbled just like any other earbud in the wind. But it’s fine in a light breeze.

Is it worth upgrading from the a-series for the sound quality / comfort?

How is the sound quality in comparison with Jaybirds? Those are my gotos for running for a long time, ur I am thinking of changing to this one 😊
Pretty similar in my opinion but I'm not an audiophile. I'm quite happy with the sound of the Pixel Buds though.

No hi res codec for this price is unacceptable
Future software update perhaps?
It is. But Airpods Pro doesn't have it either
@@fightnight14 not surprising for a company that sold 2000usd monitor stands or 2500usd case wheels. Still unacceptable.

I use the first gen while motorcycling to block the wind, looking foward for the smaller form, og's are petty bulky and they do pop out
Still interested to hear them irl. The airpods pro 2's are so good. As are the galaxy bud pro's and buds pro's (at a much lower price).
Are the big wind noise fixed (heavy wind or bycicing)
It’s still there but it’s pretty minor unless you’re in a full on wind tunnel. Best bet is to turn anc off in that case!
What other earbuds use a nub? You said lots, but I couldn't really find any except the A Series.

@@ChaseTheSummit how would these compare to those is the big question. I need a nub or wing.
The nubs from the pixel buds a-series got incredibly uncomfortable after about 30 minutes. How do these compare?
I have no issues wearing these for well over an hour. You can sort of dial in how much pressure the nubs push by rotating the buds.
if you can attachment more detail about Gemini will be much better
Will i get all the features if i use with samsung s24 ultra
No you can't!
My Google A series buds broke. My Pixel Pro buds broke the next week. Ordered the Earfun AirPro 4 for $57 lol. No regrets.
