Damn I love Elfman. Just an incredible talent. So often I found is work by seeking out "who did the soundtrack to..." His style has so much personality. Didn't take long to hear his fingerprint.
Tim curry doesint like himself in the rocky horror picture, Johnny depp hates seeing his own face and Danny elfman is embarassed with that one oingo boingo music video.
I'm actually getting a big Elfman/Boingo tattoo portrait soon. No matter how he feels, I'm going to always love Boingo and those days of him because they inspire me as much as his orchestral stuff does. As a musician as well, I think it's something that happens when you get older and look back on; songs I wrote ten years ago that friends and family still love I CAN'T stand now and kind of want to forget about. I think it's just a part of the human condition.

This is probably the best interview I've seen him give. Thank you!
That's for sure!
Totally agree
I love how he totally lights up when talking about percussion. It's his jam :)

"nasty makes me happy" - danny elfman
I wish he didn't have such a distaste talking about Oingo Boingo. They were a great band. I have a couple Oingo Boingo tattoos for gods sake.

Great interview, the interviewer asks great questions and gives him room to answer.
i'd love to meet Danny Elfman one day, he was part of my musical childhood with Alan Menken.
His expression at 12:21 killed me XD

He's a genius and he plays from his heart and you can tell..

What the fuck is the intro graphic all about? Hahaha
I wonder why Danny is so convinced that Herrmann would’ve hated him
What the f*** is Danny elfman's problem with Oingo Boingo?
Nothing, it was the Weird Science music video he hated.
RIP DANNY #FENTENOLLACEDMETHKILLSFRIENDS
Danny didn’t die but somebody that starred in his most recent music video died of opioids or something.
He's married to the only hollywood woman I ever loved
