They have multiple theaters, it wouldn’t be difficult to set it up this way.
Half of Soarin's charm is how it manages to be exciting and gentle at the same time. I don't need or want every single ride to shake my guts up and make my back hurt.
Why does Soarin need to be more aggressive? Does every ride need to have the potential of making people sick? I don't want to feel yucky all day. Is it too much to ask to just enjoy the day?
I'm reminded of forbidden journey at IOA. That is a nauseating experience

Soarin doesn't need to change! It's perfect just the way it is. Not everyone can handle aggressive rides and Soarin is the best of the best for those folks.
Had a member in my party who avoided riding any rollercoasters or drop rides. She loved Soarin because it was gentle.

Thought I remembered that.
I thought it was going to be something that tilts side to side (which made it "more aggressive" technically), but after hearing all the details, I feel like this ride will unlock new fears in a lot of people. It definitely sounds like they want to make a flying experience were we're intended to either crash, or almost crash at some point. It isn't intended to clearly be a smooth journey if they want it "more aggressive".
Maybe they're trying to reduce the demand by including more sickness inducing elements 🤢🤮

Yes, do that instead of changing Soarin.
Looks similar to Flyover. I know there is one in New York and Las Vegas. Like soaring, but with more range of motion, and the seats move forward towards the screen on a beam instead of lifting up.
For a more intense ride Soarin should fly through Detroit, Portsmouth & Jackson Miss.

I'm sure it's all in my mind, but i swear the first times I rode Soarin the first few years, it felt like i was on a hang glider...like you were tilted a little more than you are now. The past 10 years or so, it feels more like you've deployed your parachute and are just sitting in the air looking around.
I'm mildly concerned about them doing that to Soarin. Some people prefer it as a gentle ride. This is like putting a rapids and flume drop on Livin' With the Land. Early prediction, claims of injuries and lawsuits. Pre-show is video of Patrick Warburton making the "washing my hands of this" gesture with both hands, silently backing away from the camera and mouthing "you're on your own".

They already have a motion when the firework explodes in your face and the seat pitches back from the shockwave. I would assume it's simply adding more features like that to the overall ride. I do like the gentleness of the ride but I think many people (after waiting for hours to ride it) have come away disappointed. All to say that I'm not too worried about it...I'd be more worried if they changed the movie (again).
I don’t think there was any mention of this replacing Soarin’… I took it as a new mechanism that was based on the Soarin’ mechanism with enhanced capabilities for a future attraction.
To make it more aggressive, they should fly over Los Angeles over the high end cities (Beverly Hills) and show the “smash and grab gangs” running out of the stores.

Yep, what an out of touch addition to the park. The performers are no doubt talented, but they do not belong in a family friendly environment like Epcot.
It's a beautiful, tasteful show. Reminds me of Cirque du Soleil.
@@ttintagel it’s alright, I wouldn’t say it’s quite to the level of a Cirque show though. The performance is just very reminiscent of pole dancing choreography and the costumes a very revealing.
@RyRySoup it reminds me of something I'd see at a Ren Faire, but with less theming and more generic costumes. They are definitely talented performers, but the platform and globe are really lacking something.
