Nice video! Thank you. This is the best video I’ve seen on how to operate this soft top. Is it necessary to have a 10 mm open-end wrench (inserted into that center area you pointed out right behind the backseat) to hold down the tonneau cover so it’s flush with the rest of the body panels?
my silver bolt behind the back seats isn’t releasing my soft top compartment. any ideas? i sat and spun that silver bolt in the middle of the back seats towards the driver side, it doesn’t work like any other videos ive seen
SEEJAY i have tried and spun it w the wrench that came from benz spare repair kit.. seems to just keep spinning.. an spinning without opening up! very frustrating, ive checked fuses and such also ive released the pressure w a flat head.. i cant put the top down, it worked fine the past 5 yrs than one day it gave me trouble going up. but eventually an finally it went up and now i haven’t been able to use it since. being my summer beater w no AC i rely on the top dropping. lol thanks for the words of advice greatly appreciated seejay! okay well, the headrest (aka roll bar) dont move but are as low as they can go i believe.. i’ve checked the hydraulic fluid and its got plenty more than half full. also i figured i mention that the red button for convertible top just stays steady red but when driving it blinks on and off red.
