I just want one to capture great shots of my boys when they play baseball. Shots that will only be seen by family and friends. What do you guys recommend?
@@jsan8304 I’m assuming you’re hoping for a low budget? I would say pour in a little bit of extra money into the Canon R8. It’s small and fast. I can’t speak to other camera brands so if there’s anyone who has any suggestions, toss them in! 🤙🏼
Great video man! Would you recommend a canon R7 - 32MP censor with up to 30 frames per second, or trade it in for a sony full frame? I’m only saying that because of the 3rd party 70-200MM Price or worth saving for the RF 70-200MM 2.8
Thank you I appreciate that! I generally don’t like to name brands only because I believe every single line has amazing incredible cameras that will serve you best in each field. That being said, a lot is going to depend on your budget. I don’t think the Canon RF lenses are a must have, honestly I know a lot of people in my circle that have Sigma lenses and they’re absolutely stunning! They’re also a lot cheaper. I got the RF lenses because I didn’t want to deal with the adapter all the time because it cuts down on size. I believe if a camera is shooting about 12fps, you’ll be in a good place. My older Canon 1DX mark II has a 24 megapixel sensor and the images are still incredible and effective. I hope I answer that for you but please feel free to ask more questions if I didn’t ☺️

I am not loaded but I have a bunch of good Pro-lenses I used for weddings. I was thinking of dipping my toes and try some Sports and I seen some trashed 2hand 1DX-i for around 500 USD. In your personal opinion, is it a good body to start with, afterall many sports photographers used it when it was released, thus I can not see how it can be a "bad" camera, maybe more the case of us photographers being spoiled with new, bigger, better, faster all the time 😅
Hey, I think that’s a fantastic option to start with! The sports capabilities is great for that camera, seeing that it was originally marketed as a sports camera when it was released like you had mentioned. The 1DX i is a really great camera! My buddy owned two of them and they served him really great! They are definitely an underrated camera for those getting into sport’s photography! Thanks for your comment 🙏🏼
