I remember telling my dad about Curry and how good he was. He didn’t really know who he was and we turned on the tv and this game happened to be on. This was ridiculous to see live and funny to be the first time my dad watched him play. Simply amazing

And I was right. KD sent a message to Draymond Green that he was joining Golden State in July.

I just looked it up, and they had actually played 2 games (both obviously won by Golden State) before that matchup. About the hype leading to that game, it was normal, OKC still had a great team (as confirmed in their playoff battle) and lots of people wanted them to win as they hated the Warriors and called them a bogus good team.

I remember when I watched it. Living room, this was the game that was shown on TV. Watching with the family. Father still has little idea of Curry then, only knew the 24-straight wins the Warriors had to start the season, really didn't care they were the defending champs....then the OT shot happened. Needless to say, they know Curry now.
I was not so fond of watching NBA games before but then I caught a game well after it had started and saw I player who could not seem to miss , making 11 consecutive shots to the roar of the crowd. It was Klay whom I did not know yet. The game was between GSW and Sacramento. From then on I tried to watch every Warriors' game only to find out that he had actually an unbelievable counterpart in Steph Curry who made me even more hooked to their games. They were calling him Splash Brothers. Call it just a bandwagon effect but who would not appreciate their other-worldly skills. This game with OKC is simply unforgettable.

I remember watching this game me my dad brother cousins uncle and grandma we flew into town to all be with our grandma I was a huge OKC fan me my brother and my cousins and I remember my grandma loving Steph and we weren’t on the bandwagon yet. I remember us all being in shock at what Steph was doing and when he pulled up to win the game I remember all of us just saying that’s game as he gathered lol. Great times
